CA: You are correct; practically all of the traffic lights in DC are side-mounted, which is annoying because here in Virginia, there's very few intersections with exclusively side-mounted signals (one intersection in Manassas Park comes to mind). Indeed, there's still a lot of strung signals around, though VDOT and the various public works people have slowly been replacing them with fishin' poles (cantilevered arms).

It seems ODOT and the City of Columbus favor span wires for their signals rather than mast arms. Which I guess isn't that bad, because wire-mounted traffic lights can look pretty good if they're done well.
Loner's Limerenceis a Japanese Manga series written and illustrated by the artist Aoi Hitori. The story revolves around 7 central characters Ai Natara, Kagome Ichirou, Kei Anabaru, Hikari Noimita, Ren Takada, Kuwashi Moshoro and Kasumi Ianthina, it's general theme revolves around the drama, dilemmas and heart-break between the named characters as they face their own problems in the world, social and mental anxieties and tragic pasts, who all meet one another at a unpopular retail store when they aim to seek work at Palace Retail, and get to know each other and understand people beyond themselves. • Ai Natara is a seventeen year old girl who suffers from depression and is prone to delusions and disassociation from reality, often trapped in fantasies, and becomes prone to bouts of suicidal feelings when the fantasy life she wishes was real crumbles, and the beliefs she holds dear to her heart that there might be a chance that this world isn't real are shattered.
• Kagome Ichirou is a twenty one year old girl who devotes most of her life to making her significant other, Kyon Ichirou happy as she possibly can, but is trapped in a emotionally, sexually and physically abuse relationship, locked into it by feelings of guilt and dismal self-esteem, under the belief that she deserves all of the misery and anguish that happens to her, and under the belief she could never survive in the real world without her lover Kyon, and takes the job at Palace Retail as a way of making money for them.
• Kei Anabaru is a twenty year old male who seeks employment at Palace Retail to pay for his extremely expensive hobbies and home security, indulging himself in the collection of fire arms and weapons that he conceals in almost every aspect in his house. Extremely paranoid and openly hostile and only seeking work in order to pay for this weaponry, he is very cold and distant to his co-workers, his family and many other people from his past. Slowly through the story, Kei Anabaru begins to explain why he feels insecure, and begins to open up to a few people at the store he works at.
• Hikari Noimita is a distant 24 year old woman who took employment at Palace Retail in an attempt to justify her existence and take care of children that live with her at home, which secretly, unknowing to the rest of her co-workers, are puppets, replacements for the children that she abandoned in a drug-related binge during her younger years. After coming home to find her children dead from starvation and malnourishment, dealing with the grief and rejection from society, she hid away in a completely different city and takes care of the puppets in her home, refusing to admit to herself that her children are truly gone.
• Ren Takada is a 19 year old boy who suffers from delusions and a desire for attention. He talks to many co-workers about a long-lost love who died when he was thirteen, but in fact, is a lie he uses to push away the pressures of society, and as a false coping device to avoid shame of never having a real girlfriend. In his delusions, he sleeps with a pillow and fantasizes about the imaginary girlfriend, actively torn between a shameful delusion and a life he knows he will never have and wants to stay away from.
• Kuwashi Moshoro is a 22 year old male who works at Palace Retail to pay his bills and live alone at an apartment complex. Dealing with the grief of killing his past wife in a drunken driving incident, he lives alone and attempts to drive many other people he works with away from him, branding himself a monster and a killer.
• Kasumi Ianthina is a 19 year old girl who is currently dealing with her issues of being homeless, and relies solely on her job and keeping it in order to survive. Due to Palace Retail's rates being too low to enable survival, she also participates in many illegal activities like prostitution and robbery in order to pay for the life she dreams about most and will stop at nothing to obtain again.
During many of the opening chapters, many of the characters enforcer their behaviors, some having negative encounters with each other and much in-fighting happening at Palace Retail. As later chapters begin to come along, many of the characters begin to bond with others in their group, discussing their issues and facing their own problems, in an attempt to open up their lives to others and hopefully solve their own problems before it's too late.

Also I kind of want to buy Current TV, still.
Also I've never understood why Columbus and Franklin County don't mount their street name blades overhead at signalized intersections. The signs they use are already plenty big, but they mount them into the poles instead of just hanging them up with the lights.
