One of them was the Franklin Language Master. I looked it up and the thing had an NEC V-20 (8088 with Z-80 instructions) at 8 MHz with 1536K ROM and 32K RAM. Back in 1987, this was pretty rockin' for a handheld gadget -- an NEC V20 in a desktop machine was a turbo XT and would have set you back some cash then.

That happens every once in a while. It seems to be a bug in Vanilla, because the same thing happens on IJBM2 on occasion, too.

Wow, and this part of the tape is pretty much the equivalent of a wonderpost thread. Random clips from TV with a cheesy synth track going over them, while my brother and I played with the SP/LP/EP switch on the VCR. :lol:
Alas, a bunch of it seems to be missing, most likely because the tape was damaged and he had to splice it.
