One time my aunt talked to my younger brother and two young cousins about how it used to be with getting tickets at the airport, and talked about how the cousins' grandfather on their father's side still occasionally asks about something or another related to airports but it had to do with tickets or something from like thirty years ago and how it was funny because we don't do things like that anymore, but explained it to my cousins as- keep in mind, they were eight and nine at the time- because their grandfather was getting old and slowly losing his mind.
"Subhuman piece of shit" seems a bit... erm, extreme for someone who made a stupid joke, gave a disingenuous apology, and then a somewhat genuine apology. And I think the good he's done along with the fact that he's generally pretty funny sort of outweighs it.
Like I agree rape jokes are almost always terrible, but let's not be myopic here. We're a small community. Not everyone is as informed as you guys about these kinds of issues.

Seriously, this is, like, Cajun level of hygienic here, soapier than Dawkins, 'cause at least Dawkins is good at biology and can be great when he's talking about biology.

He's not.
I am.
I think he may have finally snapped.
Okay, I must now retract my opinion that Inman is not a subhuman piece of soap.
Believe it or not, that's not really a dealbreaker with me. It's just something I find immensely frustrating.
