  One reason I find reading superior to movies is that the former is acceptable as a private, individual activity. In a movie theater you're expected to share your emotions with the rest of the audience and fuck that.

  There is a nice little independent theatre within walking distance of where I live that shows some interesting things. I haven't been there in nearly two years at this point, but I must say that I really like it there.
