I would ask "who the hell is Mara Wilson"? But that would probably be proving her point more than anything
also my least favorite Cracked articles by far are the ones that attempt to offer life advice or explain some facet of the human condition. They suck, they are universally poorly written and often condescending, and I do not like them.
My favorites have always been the abandoned, "amazing X" lists (animals, nature), and maybe some random ones by the nobodies here and there.
Those were great. I also really liked the ones about creepy abandoned places and weird unexplained phenomena, but those seem to have been dropped as well.
That Cracked article started out OK, but went downhill really fast I mean, even for Cracked articles (which aren't exactly going to win Pulitzers) this one went into juvenile name-calling quickly.
You do a relatively decent piece on racism, then go on about how anuses, penises and fanfiction are ruining the Internet for you? Clearly, you've been living under a rock since 1995. :P

It got annoying at the end (ever felt like a boss fight just unnecessarily goes on forever?) but I did like it, if not as much as its eventual successor.
Review incoming. Also, those with my juvenile sense of humor may be amused by the fact that my final score was 200,420.
Felix's articles usually don't suck initially. They save their suck for the end.
Like that one article where he spent the first three entries on trifling stuff and spends the fourth on a diatribe against conservatives and the political spectrum in general, one that was twice as long as the other entries.
Mind you, the article had nothing to do with politics up to that point.
I like the Monster Manuel (not a typo) item in The Binding of Isaac in theory (summons a random option item for one room) but it recharges sooooooooooo slowly in comparison to its relatively weak effect.
A lot of the articles on poverty are actually very good.
And I'll just go ahead and say it: I find a lot of Wong's articles very compellingly written- not necessarily well written- and the advice, while often trite and overused- at least tends to be somewhat reasonable.

There's a thing in Kingdom of Loathing that has the exact same name. It allows you to collect information about enemies and see their hit points and attack/defense.
Yeah, I'll still say that Wong's article that ends with a guy hugging a tiger is one of my favorites. Heavy-handed, but not as pessimistic as his usual stuff (i.e. Monkeysphere).

you're not wrong, but, contrary to what I said earlier, I actually do really dislike preachy Cracked articles
I like the non preachy ones though, they are often at least OK.

Well, I believe it is one of the worst items, right next to stuff like Lemon Mishap.

I don't like that monkeysphere article because people I know reference it a lot and ugh.
It's not even a very good explanation of the concept.
Wong is by far my least favorite Cracked writer. Gladstone and Brown are tied for a distant second.

Sometimes it is, but the articles I like I tend to like more for showcasing weird or silly things than being funny in of themselves.
as for Monster Manuel, I'd say it needs a buff (maybe to recharge every other room instead of every fourth) to make it more useful and I hope Ed gives it one for Rebirth.
there's a demo on Newgrounds if you want to try it out but can't afford it.
In any case, I hope Rebirth is out before the end of the year. The current game is so unoptimized that I can't actually stream it on my computer. It's one of the game's flaws.
I've been getting a lot of good or okay but not great items on this Samson-turnt-Blue Baby run (Monster Manuel, Sister Maggy, The Scapular, Boom!, and the Ankh, obviously).
"The zombie lady on top of the heap tries to yell at you about something you've done wrong, but all that comes out is a geyser of foul-smelling fluid, which is way, way worse than a lecture about civic responsibility."
So, the new KOL dungeon has two cool bosses. A monster who's the embodiment of space, and a skeleton who got the electric chair and has a bone to pick with you.
Every once in a while, KoL decides that being a farce MMORPG isn't enough. It has to be deep. And it's pretty cool when it does that.
I won a dollar at a slot machine and have been milking the one in the arcade for all it's worth. I went from two spirit hearts to ten and I think I've found every pill in the pill rotation (of which only two, Luck Down, and "And Ate Them" are bad).

have you played Isaac yet
you should.
I've not played KoL but I understand the two share a certain sense of humor.

Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
and take their weapons leaving them dead

:kappa: I thought you didn't play the game?
'tis fact.
