I see bullet patterns when I try to fall asleep. >_> I crave them like cocaine.
  • This is not good. Something relaxing and unchallenging might be good for you. Step away from shmups for a while.

    Welcome back.

Playing frustrating games is what I do when I feel bad, I think. I only get angry at myself though, for being a bad player, and not the game or other people. These sorts of games allow me to focus intensively on something for hours, but something I am capable of actually doing.

Normally I never get frustrated. Only touhou's lunatic mode frustrates me anymore. >_>

Also I can play lunatic and not get frustrated for like 2 hours but after that I start getting frustrated.

One of few quiz thingies I see where I would be interested in what people answer. :)

Animal Crossing is a very, very relaxing game. It's done wonders for me when I was in a bad mood.

I play Crazy Machines to relax.  Despite the name, it's a very calm game, where you make rube goldberg designs to very calming music.  It's fun.
  • Went to take my test for my learners permit and go to the library to pick up a book. Only realised I forgot my ID once I was at the library and I don't want to go home and be yelled at 8<
  • Well at least I have my book ^_^;

Really the fact that Mo' and I seem to be the only ones who think fedora hate is ridiculous irks me somewhat
The only ones in the entire world.

no, but there's certainly a disproportionate amount of it on the internet for no real reason.
I don't hate fedoras at all. I don't even dislike trilby hats, which are what everyone falsely thinks are fedoras. I do, however, think that they only work with specific outfits.

I hope the AV club realizes what they have done, and what will happen.
  • The impulse is totally understandable, but still, it means that I'm
reading 2,000 words of infotainment instead of 200,000 words of
education. I'm not going to sit down and read a 700-page book that will
make me an expert in tank maneuvers of World War II, but I will read a
two-page article about the funniest tank fails throughout all of
history. Instead of taking in careful, measured intellectual
nourishment, I binge on cheap comfort facts.
Cracked describing why you shouldn't treat Cracked as an educational medium.

In this series, we hire people you've maybe vaguely heard of to talk about how they dislike famous songs while we do everything but suck their cock via interview
  • @ Miko: You keep doing that thing where you say you're a bad player despite being at least two orders of magnitude better at shmups than anyone else on this forum. Except maybe Fossilmaiden, I dunno.

@ Aliroz: Well, you're back early. Was camp fun?

I was talking about the AVclub's hatesong thing.

VH1 Countdowns are about paying minor celebrities to be nostalgic.
  • No, no, those are slightly different depending on the countdown.

Certain ones have the people talk about songs they do like.

(Is it bad that I kinda like panelist shows like those and World's Dumbest?)

I generally like the AV Club's reviews of things. They manage to be concise but on point, which is rare with online music journalism. Not sure about their other stuff, though.

Which I guess explains it: EW's music reviews are significantly better than they have any right to be.

And in any case, I would take both of them over NME anyday, and Pitchfork a decent percentage of the time.

    True, true.

Speaking of which, I found out on a car ride that I can't stand Neil Diamond.
  • AV Club had a really really good review of FLCL.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
^^ & ^ Neil Diamond is boring and kind of irritating; FLCL is probably the best thing that Gainax will ever do.

    The math is impeccable here.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
    Off to musicking!

If Naney reappears, give him my love, OK?

I like I Am I Said, but only ironically.

It's weird, because I'm generally fine with folk and folk-country.
