I think the thing that always got to me was that the girls seem to use violence as a first resort.
Like the episode where the colorful clown turns into an evil mime and starts stealing Townsville's colors. At the end, Bubbles manages to restore the colors through the power of song~ and the mime turns back into a nice clown again. But then they proceed to beat the crap out of him anyway, despite him clearly no longer being a threat—I mean, yeah, he still deserved to be arrested for what he did before, but why did they need to beat him up at that point?
I just realised something: The old (1965-1988) 20th Century-Fox Television sounder sounds like a louder, nastier version of the Bell System off-hook tone. I have to wonder if that made it scarier to people.

@Anonus: I kinda feel like the Lionsgate logo is a fairly generic concept, and it seems like you've just demonstrated that too. The whole "flying through space until your name appears" isn't a very easy concept for one particular brand to "own", you know?

It and its predecessor were the work of Devastudios:
I don't like that they pitched out old Gears-and-Gate for a ripoff of the Relativity logo that's supposed to remind people of Universal's as well
Granted, the ABC Inc version of Lions Gate was going to get rid of old Gears-and-Gate and replace it with something different too, but not the uninspired thing the real Lionsgate has introduced
Also, ripping off Relativity Media's logo, really
If Lionsgate is Hollywood's expansion team, then Relativity is an AAA minor league team
it astounds me that a producer known for making beats for fairly obscure New Orleans rappers (and also Lil Boosie) made a somewhat successful song about a .gif
Well, at least Bunny isn't really dead. I mean, Mojo Jojo got turned into a dog once and he got back to normal with no problems and the Roudyruff Boys died and came back to life with no problem.
Still, for a moment there, I thought they'd really killed off poor Bunny.
I actually really like MRAs because that degree of whining and self-pity can only mean that feminism actually has a pretty damn secure foothold and they're being little babies about it because they're genuinely threatened

Though not really being a fan of the Power Puff girls myself, I couldn't speak to it's quality.
I can understand the frustration of problems arising and being solved too quickly.
The episode that was pretty much one giant reference to the Beatles Discography was pretty good, and probably fits the bill of what you're wanting.
I also remember enjoying the episode where the Gangreen prank calls the PowerPuff girls from the mayors office.
Guess I'll watch it.
