Supposedly they were originally planning to also give him a chicken suit in New Super Mario Bros. Wii (so he could basically be a Billy Hatcher lookalike I guess) but thought better of it. I guess it sort of makes you wonder what kind of power the developers had in mind for the chicken suit though (Birdo powers maybe, I have no clue).
