Yeah, both nasty speeches; but Xykon's is the more evil simply because of how powerful he was in that moment. Belkar was nearly dead in his moment and you get this feel that Redcloak has been truly broken and is one hair's-breadth away from trying to kill Xykon right then and there but he just can't.
And yeah, Redcloak is deluding himself with his whole "Lord Xykon dances on my strings" deal. That's what he tells himself so he can live with himself.

Nah, I actually he's good with it, because then you add in a wild-card like Tarquin who's very existence up to this point has been to examine the narrative structure and manipulate to his ends.
I honestly can't wait to see the interactions of Tarquin's group vs. Xykon's group.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
omgggg I just remmbered this dream from forever ago that I had where Marisa was actually a secret red-head... except she really is a secret red-head. ^_^ She dyes her hair, I think, because her first appearance was as a redhead.
Xykon would probably just kill Tarquin in one round, though.
You're letting your Xykon bias get to you, I mean, I like the character too, but he also his limits (He'd be a boring character if he didn't) Tarquin isn't so weak as to die in one round, nor is he so stupid as to engage an enemy that could defeat him if that were the case anyways.
by their interactions, I'm talking about Tarquin versus Redclock, His ability to perceive through narrative dealings and Redclock's dangerous game of cat and mouse with Xykon.
Maybe we've gotten to the point where the massive scope of information exchange is a detriment instead of a benefit to mankind.
that seems overly reactionary and paranoiac.
Misinformation is as old as information itself. The only people that were never subject to it on a daily basis were cavemen.
While this is true, the ability to spread good and bad information so quickly and easily is an unprecedented situation. Personally, I think that we are coming to a point where most sane people carry a healthy degree of savvy and skepticism when it comes to the Internet, but there is always a dark side to be considered.
