I'm going to have to disagree.

If we presume that anime girls are actually generic we, in a way, validate their existence, since if they are generic, they must cater to a market, and marketing is a totally valid reason for anything to exist. This is why the sun exists, it was created to make the Earth more appealing for hot young asteroids roaming the universe looking to find some tail to pound into.
