You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
So I've decided that Esoteric Pads is my first real Musical Thing, hence my stage name change
Life In Red and my other unreleased thing were just warmups and District 76 was the prelude. This EP, on the other hand, is presumably not going to be terribad so it is my New Starting Point.
Flutter has been programmed in such a way that no bars contain identical beats and can therefore be played at both forty five and thirty three revolutions under the proposed new law. However we advise DJs to have a lawyer and musicologist present at all times to confirm the non repetitive nature of the music in the event of police harassment.
So I bought Rayman 2 from Amazon a couple weeks ago but it didn't have a cover. I wanted to rectify that, so I had to improvise.
(One funny thing I just noticed: I got Ray slightly wrong on the back. His hair looks more like it does in Origins but his shirt/bandanna combo is straight from Rayman 2.)

I had a friend who used to do that to every used game he got.
First time in a long time I've had to do it. PS3 games having a higher case-to disc ratio and whatnot.
Still. Gotta admit, there's a bit of charm to the lack of detail. Makes it feel like, "oh, cool, what a deliciously terribad line drawing cover, you can tell this guy loves this game since he bothered trying to make new cover art for it", which I do.
In other news, drawing Ray is fun. No limbs? No problem!
I think I've figured out the whole "fake geek girl" thing. It's not about male nerds thinking girls are feigning interest to seduce them, it's more about how groups are naturally hostile to people they consider "newcomers." I'm not defending that line of thinking, by the way.
Also, there was a brief period where HH had an "lol fake geek girls" phase.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
A phase lasts for more than half of a day and also kind of implies that people take that mentality when no one does? Unless you mean "lol geek girls" to mean "poking fun at people who say 'lol geek girls.'"
And like I said, I'm not defending this line of thinking. The kinds of guys who accuse women of being "fake geek girls" tend to also be Nice Guys, so I doubt "they're only doing it to seduce us!" would play a part.

I don't even know where it comes from but it is probably this notion our culture has that geekdom is a "male" thing and that girls are not supposed to like nerdy stuff.

Like, look at the way Big Bang Theory portrays geekdom I guess (if you have had the displeasure of being near a TV that is running an episode). That is kind of the 'popular' image of it.

It's a mix of defensiveness and sexism. Nerds don't like people who call themselves nerdy when they aren't, and that is stereotypically associated with girls. There are a lot of jokes about attractive white girls who call themselves "awkward." It's the same concept.

But people can be attractive and awkward at the same time. :/
I have probably said this before but I don't identify as a "nerd" even though I like nerdy stuff, and it is because of all the culture associated with it. "Nerd licenses" and "nerd cred" and "you're a fake nerd" and that sort of thing.

I like that show. It's much better than many portrayals of nerds. At least it's a sympathetic portrayal. In most media not specifically made for nerds, when they're not antagonists they're portrayed as lacking any degree of common sense and being immature and unwilling to let childish things like video games go. At the very least The Big Bang Theory doesn't do *that.*

Why did she never get a poem? Because the world is cruel, and no one gets what they deserve.

I compared it to the fake geek girl thing because I think both are petty and stupid.
