I've heard that he drops in occasionally to complain about either the trolls or his other perceived enemies (most recently the manaJERK at the Game Place, which is also how the trolls came to find out where he'd been since October), but most of the time it's trolls or their fans updating.

I don't get how so many people invest time into something like that. Is it kind of the same thing why people edit TV Tropes about their favorite series, except it's about the life and adventures of a thing (opposite of person)?

The only way I can think of people enjoying editing the cwcwiki is because it's.....well, I don't know why people edit it.

Well, the thing with CWC is that there's practically no one else like him. He's like a textbook parody of Internet fan culture, right down to the bad fan art, obsessive behavior and lack of social skills. Except that this is not a parody or an elaborate ruse; this loser could well have been you, if you were as unfortunate as he was to get parents that were as coddling and distrusting of doctors as his were.

There's something most fans have done once in their life that CWC has also done. And CWC is pushing 30 and still looks and acts like a grade-schooler. If this were a book, it would have won awards for being so shockingly uncanny.

Yup, pretty much; an Ozymandias for our time, really. While there have been other examples of fandom stupidity, none are this comprehensive or this tragic.

And it's the tragedy of all this that's brought so much attention. On one hand, CWC is an egotistical, self-absorbed, perverted manchild who can't take any responsibility for his own actions and never seems to improve; on the other, CWC is a person with feelings who knows he's doing something wrong, and knows he's upsetting people, but is too scarred by both his own mental block and his own twisted upbringing to know how to deal with it in any way other than raging against the heavens, as it were.

Most people grow out of it. The vast majority of the "lolcows" mentioned on ED are high-schoolers (or were when their net.kookery began). CWC will never grow out of this, not without medical attention that, so far, he does not believe he needs.

Sometimes I find myself completely freaking out about what to say for absolutely no reason except perhaps something I'm remembering, or a thought going through my head and corrupting my other thoughts.

When this happens, often times I forgo speaking to others and often them hanging mid-conversation and private message like.

It's actually pretty annoying, but I feel like having this happen angers people and often times I don't try to pick up the conversation because I don't want to speak to someone angered by something out of my control.

Hmm, okay, it seems my biggest bugbear while I am talking on the internet is when I send someone an IM,email or private message and the other person doesn't respond for whatever because I then become extremely paranoid that the person is ignoring me but doesn't have the good grace to tell me why they are ignoring me.

Also, I think I have tourettes because I have a really bad inability to control what I say.

Heh, the "switch" sound in "Omelette Sandwich" off of The Felt sounds like an 8-track player clicking. :D

Also, I notice that LTO drives sound like they're jamming or eating the tape when they run. That's not a mechanical problem, as it turns out; the heads are servo-controlled like a HDD, and they make weird noises. :P

I don't mind hearing about shaking babies. The very idea doesn't bother
me at all. It's usually done by idiots who shouldn't be having kids in
the first place. Poor kid, and all, but hey...It's natural selection at
work. If you're so stupid the realistic idea of shaking a baby enters
your mind, you're too stupid to be having kids in the first place and
should probably be sterilized for the good of the species.

Probably the biggest problem with that statement is that its core argument is a non sequitur. "I think shaking babies is okay" does not make "people who shake babies are too stupid to be good parents" a valid argument.
