WJBK was one of New World's very first stations, having bought it from SCI TV in 1993 (WJBK was built and signed on by Storer Broadcasting; most of the longstanding Storer stations are now Fox stations that are owned by either the network or Local TV LLC, and they were included in the SCI purchase)
New World was, I figure, more or less an investment vehicle by this point, being owned by financier Ronald Perelman (who also owns Revlon)

In any case, 20th Century Fox Television seems to hold the underlying rights to the show, as they are the ones who sold it to Netflix...
Also, it irritates me that the Fox O&Os still use the "MyFox" URL convention. The "My" came from "MySpace" (which was owned by News Corporation in 2006, when the URLs were adopted)...

It's been more than five years since WJBK got Borgified and they still use what sounds like a cut of Absolute News (their previous music package) to open their weather segments
The only part of being an Alligator that one would have to resent is these short, stubby legs.
Though, you might miss your inferior bidirectional inefficient human lungs; or your inferior weak easily-poisoned human stomach that can't digest metals; so if you want food poisoning or if you want to hyperventilate and pass out, you might not want to be an Alligator.

You know what's weird?
WUPW switched to the first-generation Fox O&O graphics (though not a Fox News Channel-esque logo) before KDVR did. And at no point has WUPW been owned by the network! (WUPW was owned by LIN at the time; I saw these graphics there in August of 2007)
