So my friends and I decided to start a detective agency called “Dick, Duck, and Tuck” consisting of myself (Tuck) a guy named Dylan (Dick) and a guy named Nicky (who is only Duck because it fits the theme). We have no idea how to detect stuff but we do know that our uniform will be:

A duster

I'm content with most of my stuff, but I really, really want a groovebox-style sampler.
Half because I really think it would improve my sound, and half because it's one of those things you're sort of expected to have as an industry standard. Though I think that may be changing.

I really want to get an Eventide 8000 and a TC Electronic Gold Channel preamp, but that's not gonna happen for a long time, considering an Eventide 8000 would set me back 5k and and the Gold channel would be 1.5k (and isn't even made anymore, so it's a pain to find one in good condition).
If I am ever making enough money that I can buy a vintage Mellotron, I will be happy with my life.
That would be pretty awesome. If I could get one vintage synthesizer, I'd probably like to get a synclavier or a Fairlight CMI, but those are still ridiculously expensive, even today. I think the Syncaliver still goes from somewhere in the 100-250k range.

I'm not really sure I'd call a Mellotron a synthesizer? It was more of a proto-sampler.
