i thought they were separate shows? Disney didn't own the 2003 series and the title was different.
(i know i said 'Disney' for ABC but cut me some slack, it was broadcast over here with the Disney shows and it's all the same thing)
[edited because i misremembered]
The 1999 and 2003 ones were separate, and both were productions of DiC Entertainment (which was indeed owned by Disney from around 1996 to 2000; sources vary on whether or not Disney obtained it from Capital Cities/ABC)

I'm a bad Linux nerd
I prefer simpler "desktoppy" desktops like GNOME and Cinnamon to window managers like fluxbox and awesome...
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."

Purity: Wipe your hard drive!
Me: No. Getting everything back will be a pain. Besides, I did that 6 months ago after I screwed up the filesystem.
Purity: Yes, but five months ago you installed an obscure web browser to screw around with.
Me: So? I uninstalled that.
Purity: We both know uninstallers never work. There's probably some stray registry keys lying around, cluttering your beautiful hard drive...
Me: It's a shitty hard drive anyway.
Purity: It's just one simple command. "FORMAT C:". What have you got to lose?

I think we did at one point. It's buried deep in the sands of time, though.

Ugh, sorry for my little freak-out back there. I think I've finally got myself calmed down to the point where I can respond to the words people said to me...

Anyone who actually cares about you failing to meet any "bad Linux nerd" shit like that isn't really worth being around.
It was more self-deprecation than anything else, really.
It's like...I like Linux because I can customize stuff to look and work the way I want to, to a much greater extent than I can on my Windows 7 installation (without relying on iffy hacks, at least), but at the same time I don't really feel I know enough "unixy" stuff to take full advantage of this. 90% of the time, if I want to make some change, I just end up googling it and following instructions I find, which usually works, but doesn't always help my understand of how or why it works.
also the one time i tried irssi i went all "omg too command liney" and ran and hid but we don't need to talk about that

i'm mostly like this too, but i've done enough stuff this way that i can do most basic things without having to look stuff up and i can figure out stuff sometimes without googling it.
also i generally assume that lots of people google how to do stuff a lot, because there's quite a bit of stuff that's not worth memorizing really

As for WMs/desktops, I've decided I'm gonna stick with Xfce for the time being, since by all accounts it's the closest you can get to the GNOME 2.x interface (which is what I really want).
My real mistake was installing Xubuntu, which bundles a bunch of "lightweight" apps instead of their more common counterparts (for example, Leafpad, which rivals Windows Notepad in terms of uselessness, instead of Gedit). If I ever have to reinstall Linux, I'll probably do a vanilla Ubuntu installation and then add Xfce on top of that.

I'm not big on Unity, but the one thing I do like about it is the Mac-style global menu bar. Even Google Chrome seems to support it, which is interesting because Chrome usually doesn't have a menu bar.
