God, I'm bored.
I never thought I'd say this, but I find myself missing parts of 2012. Select parts, mind you...namely, the early summer, when I had an internship to work 3 days a week and could come home to obsess over the then-new Gravity Falls.

Oh, so everyone hated the first 3 episodes of Star Wars because they made Darth Vader suck?
That's part of it.
#1 is just not nearly the quality of the first trilogy. I mean...it's crazy childish even by Jedi's standards. And Jar Jar and Anakin are just painful to watch for many adults.
Two was sort of that Anakin is a whiny teen, and it's not really how we want to remember Vader, but also Anakin and Padme have several very awkward to watch scenes. Like...not these two secretly love each-other but are dancing around it, more like "I can tell I'm watching actors who have been given shitty dialogue that neither of them can make work." Hayden Christensen is also sort of not a great actor, at least not a very believable Anakin a lot of the time.
Three basically suffers from the same problems of two...plus fans of the Clone Wars series where very disappointed with Grievous who basically spend THAT series murdering his way through the majority of the Jedi cast. Only to run away from Anakin and Obi-Wan and be rather dispatched by Obi-Wan rather easily.

"Messed up" in this case means my win-loss record against the Gym Leaders is terrible, my Elekid isn't working out as well as I'd like, and I gave horrible nicknames to my Vaporeon and Umbreon.
This kind of thinking is sadly common when I try to run through the older games.
anyhoo, the game is going well for me, my adorable lil' cincinno is busy brutalizing pretty much everything, I have a growlithe with a nice wide movepool, a Lucario that is kinda meh, a roggenrola that i am just kinda leveling up on the side until it learns Stealth Rock, a decent oshawott, and a flaafy that i might switch out for a Tynamo when i can get one.

i remember first seeing you talk about her in the 12 year old kidz klub or whatever that thread was called.
Back in the 12-year-olds thread, there was some bit where someone (I think it was Cream) killed me and I became a ghost. Then I started going on about how I didn't need you guys anyway because I had my own "ghost friend" named Spectricia.
The joke, of course, was that there was no Spectricia, and my character simply made her up to get attention. This culminated in a gag where I tried to "kill her off" before realizing that she was supposed to be a ghost to begin with.

I'm not surprised you got a Cinccino. You've said before that they're one of your favorites.

Elekid is a cool 'mon, i'm not big on it's evolutions tho.
Cinccino is great because it
A.) Is adorable
B.) Has several great abilities
C.) Unlike a certain other pokemon i could mention (*coughBidoofcough*), has decent stats and a good movepool to back those abilities up
A.) Skill Link: You end up with Tail Slap (also Rock Blast and Bullet Seed via move tutor later on for more type coverage) that always hits five times, 5 X 25 = 125 base damage, plus STAB for Tail Slap, and this is going on like really early in the game too
B.) Technician: Not as overwhelming, but it helps out a broader range of moves, including Wake-Up Slap and stuff
