i always figured the prefix 'hashtag' in that context meant 'the following word or phrase would be a hashtag if we were on twitter right now'.
You know, Centie, that strikes me as following the letter of the law but not the spirit I mean, yes, technically it's pronounced hash whatever, but hashtag whatever is such a wonderful describer of it because it is indeed a hashtag that tells you it is about whatever

Fair enough, I guess. Honestly the only reason that particular use bothers me is that I've heard some people (i.e. tween girls who don't know better) refer to the character itself as a hashtag, which irritates me to no end.

I like metal but I am not a fan of any particular band because see above

    @RocketDude:

I can only speak for Central Ohio, but here, Columbus still uses mostly Crown Vic Police Interceptors, while a lot of the suburbs have been taking to the newer cars.

Makes me wonder what Columbus is going with now that the CVPI is out of production.

Or listen to them sperg about genre and sub-genre classifications and what separates one genre/sub-genre of metal from another.

    *totally guilty of doing this*

or maybe you'll actually like it.

It's really annoying when people decide that they hate something before they even see it.

Ugh, let me try this again:

The problem is, I don't have high hopes for the new special. They changed the art style entirely, and neither McCracken nor Faust are on board.

I mean, I guess it might still be good, but...meh.

well yeah but you should try it anyway y'know.

I maintain it can't be worse than that special they did a few years ago.

Also there's already been a decent adaption of PPG that had no input from the original creators.

  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
Maybe they changed the art style because they want it to be taken on its own terms as a new work.

They've opted for quite a distinctive style which afaik isn't reflective of any current trend, which suggests that they're trying to draw attention to the fact that they're doing something different, rather than treat it as a straight continuation.

They aired like an additional episode a few years after the series ended and it was really bad.

The animation was all wonky and

Mojo Jojo turned into a good guy and referenced an internet meme.

Honestly, most of my music isn't bought

I get a whole bunch of video game remixes, mostly. Also pony remixes

I have a few bought things, like my Caravan Palace and Parov Stelar albums

Are you referring to the movie or the anime?

Wait no, you can't mean the movie, Craig McCracken was involved.

i thought the anime completely missed the point.
  • the anime.

It wasn't anything special but it was funny in its own way.

  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
    i am a serial post-editor.

i saw too little of the anime to judge i guess, i kind of switched off in disgust because i thought it was nothing like PPG.

the realization suddenly occurs that i am being a massive hypocrite about this
