I know you're being facetious, but we're not breaking any laws. I'm over the age of consent in both Colorado and Ohio.
Silly AU, don't you know vM is from Califnornia, where the age of consent is 18? :P

The greenhouse stores used to be everywhere around here, but by now most of them have either been remodeled or torn down. And the superstore design is even rarer.

^^^ I thought that was weird too.
Around here they were all called "Odd Lots" until 2001 or so, when they decided to use the Big Lots name for all their stores.

You know, there's a thrift store in Whitehall that has old Value City shopping carts.
I found that interesting because Value City never used that name in the Columbus area. They were called Schottenstein's here instead.
Watching Vegas Strip and some guy is claiming that he got pregnant by smoking cigarettes. He's talking about dinosaurs and claiming he is going to lay an egg.

Yes, that is indeed what it looks like: a wooden post stuck in the ground with the street names painted down the sides.
And you know what? That was the standard style of street sign in Gahanna, Ohio for decades.
Also, I genuinely feel bad for Meg on Family Guy. She isn't even that ugly or unappealing and yet they act like she's the crappiest person on earth. :\
I've hated that show for years now but the episode where she rips them all a new one still makes me smile, even if (SPOILERS she does go back to letting them treat her like crap).
I don't really hate FG. Never have, though I did get irritated with it when I started noticing that the later seasons getting bluh-y in comparison to the earlier ones.
The new ones are actually OK though, they're not as full of cutaway jokes and remind me a bit more of the old episodes. It still has work to do, but it's getting better.
And Mila Kunis is totes hawt and Lacey Chabert ain't no slouch either, so I can't get behind Meg being ugly.
CA: I remember parts of Huntington, WV using signposts like those well into the 1980s. I think it was mainly the Altizer district (over by what the locals call the "nickel plant") that did that.
Also, I'm rewatching the EOA2 and thinking about how awesome it is. Especially the lead-in:

...Kroger "greenhouse" stores are becoming rarer, more so than even 10 years ago. I find that depressing.
Also a Kroger greenhouse store looks so...should-be-ubiquitous, to me. Or iconic?
Why did you sympathize with Gruntilda, squid?

I saw that in your sig back on TVT. Is it a good chat room? Who all is in it? Anyone I'd know?
