It's just, like, I seem to be nowhere near closer to getting what I want. I haven't made any progress toward living as a woman, I don't have a place of my own, and the only degree I have is an associate's from a cheap-ass community college. I know nobody here thinks I'm worthless, but I sure do.

Lots of people my age don't have degrees, but I keep comparing myself to my friends my age who do have degrees. :\
As for the trans thing...the difficulty, really, is that I'm not sure where to start and I don't know who to turn to for help. Or, as I said it on Tumblr: I'm spinning my wheels, and if I could get someone to get behind me and push I could make it out of the ditch, but I'm off the side of a busy Interstate and I have no idea which of the random passerby to ask for help.

So I pulled open a Gmail conversation only to find the avatar next to my name isn't the one I've been using for months (and re-uploaded earlier this week), but one I haven't used in several months.

@ CA: my doctor advised me to stop comparing myself to other people altogether; i hope you don't mind me saying this, but it sounds like you could maybe use the same advice. Good luck finding help on living as a woman, anyway.
Googling 'transgender resources' and 'transgender forums' brings up a lot of results, which you've probably seen, but, maybe someone there can help? Or a therapist might be able to offer advice, as well.

It's part of why I stopped reading Homestuck the first time...so much of it takes place visually without words that I rarely understand what's going on.
