Not really? I mean, I loved Hot Wheels as a child, but the road thing kinda came about separately.
Suffice to say, though, that by the time I was 9 I was cutting out little road signs to use with my Hot Wheels. I didn't know about any of the various sign standards, so I kinda just made things up as I went along.
