Sadcore is a subgenre occasionally identified by music journalists to describe examples of alternative rock characterised by bleak lyrics, downbeat melodies and slower tempos.
Honestly anticon. is a dead label. It's been years since they put out anything that elicited any reaction to me other than "ugh".
I mean, I at least hated CrownsDown. It at least made me feel something, you know?
I was talking earlier about how there's essentially no underground anymore in hip-hop. Rhymesayers is the only one of the 2000s indie rap labels that's still carrying any weight, and half its roster is nicked from elsewhere (Aesop Rock from Def Jux, MC Grieves from Black Clover, P.O.S. from Doomtree, etc.), it's kinda sad, really. El-P basically torched Def Jux and is now doing tracks with Juicy J. I mean, the track in question is good, but it's weird, and I'm not even sure what happened to the rest of the Jukies (Aes left for Rhymesayers I know, and Despot went with El-P. Last anyone heard of Cage, he was palling around with Shia LeBouf).
was anticon. really ever anything other than a collection of white hipster rappers with stupid names?
I mean I'm trying to think of anything on the label I ever liked besides the cLOUDDEAD records and coming up blank. Most of Doseone's solo work is forgettable and I used to like Themselves but after I figured out their entire shtick was very wordily complaining about the mainstream I started finding them annoying.
Low Profile Darkness represents a turning point in D'n'B history. First off, it is basically the first D'n'B full length of note from outside of the UK. Secondly, It showed that D'n'B could work in a manner that is entirely uncompromising and unremittingly hardcore in a full-length format. Third, it brought a much more harsh, distorted, industrial edge to the music that would be explored further by musicians like Cooh, Gein, Evol Intent, Current Value, Limewax, ect.
And also it is just auditory heaven from beginning to end and is like so perfect
when i heard this album first time, i though my speakers are broken or sumthing coz every sound was totally *ucked up. well, my speaker were ok, it was this rekkid. most distorted, apocalyptic and freaked out drum+bass i've heard. if u like no u-turn and other dark labels (like prototype etc.) you wanna have this album. check also other (position) chrome stuff. wikkid, wikkid!!
In your case, about 75-100 miles west of Denver in the high mountain regions
Thanks.
The reason is the sky is clearer at those high altitudes and you'll be farther away from Denver's light pollution. I've seen the night sky at those mountain altitudes in an excellent dark sky site and you can easily make out the Andromeda galaxy with the naked eye as well as several globular clusters, and the big damn long Milky Way arm across the sky.

Sorry, man. I was marathoning The West Wing with my folks all night. If you haven't seen it, go and watch the episode "Two Cathedrals". It is sublime. I must hear this.
