they reanimated her as a white housewife in the 70's I think but only for the major networks, I clearly remember Mammy from the 80's on stations like WTBS

Later, they just took a hacksaw to the shows to cut out anything that might offend

Yes, in the '90s Turner edited the cartoons with a new voice actress for her. (Before then, MGM replaced her with a thin white woman with an Irish accent)

Deitch's vision for Tom and Jerry was much different from Bill & Joe's

Somewhat unsettling

Anytime I watch any T&J that isn't Bill & Joe or Chuck Jones I want the jazz music (though Jones's shorts didn't have the jazz music)
