After Fat of the Land, a friend of mine lent me Pendulum's entire discography, which got me interested in D'n'B. Then at some point I was at a record store and there was a two disk Goldie mix featuring a lot of really fantastic early tunes, and I bought that and it confused the hell out of me, because it was like absolutely nothing I had ever heard before in my entire life.
It's kind of ridiculous how in spite of being repeatedly being proven that video games have a negligible effect on violence, there are still often debates about it.
Anonus, Also whenever I see people complain about the American news media, NPR tends to be considered the only real trustworthy source.
I have heard some people complain about it being overly commercial and guilty of the "both sides do it/false equivalence" thing, but those critics were admittedly leftists, so you can probably take that with a grain of salt. I cannot say I know enough about it to give an informed opinion one way or the other though.

Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
Well, if you look at this objectively
There's 312 million American citizens
over 300 million firearms in the hands of US citizens
50 million PS2 units sold in the United States, 46.12 million Wii units sold in the United states, counting the rest I think it's safe to say that we're comfortably within (and surpassing) the 300 million number here once again
and in this past year two deranged young American (who happen to play video games) go on shooting sprees and killing people
Two.
Do we blame ourselves for the the fucking critical failure that occurred which allowed these two to slip through the cracks? No, it's clearly the fault of an inanimate object, take your pick

I would hardly say that video games and guns are equivalent in that regard though.
