Why you'd want to do this, I don't know. But now you can!
The fact that it apparently has its own AV output makes me think it's just another one of those cheap-ass Genesis clone consoles, but designed to fit into an SNES and use its controller inputs.
(You probably already knew that, but whatever.)
Either way, it's like 17 different levels of pointless.

Yeah, there's no way that you could run a Genesis game through a SNES -- a good number of Genesis games run at 320x224, which the Super Nintendo has no equivalent mode for, it can only handle resolutions of 256x224, 512x224, 256x448i, or 512x448i. That's not even counting the other problems regarding hardware sprites and background layers.
And if you were to try (like Nintendo did with the Super Game Boy), the sheer amount of translation would require at least an ARM9—not something that'd jibe well with the cheap tat this thing apparently is.
Anyway, I'm going to bed and hoping I'm not getting sick again. Good night!

Well, years ago there was a third-party unofficial NES-to-SNES converter that did exactly that, it allowed you to play NES games through a converter on your SNES, none of the cheesy shit you see here with this Genesis thing. It not only managed that, but unlike your modern-day famiclone, it was 100% compatible with every NES/Famicom game out there, including troublesome ones like Castlevania 3. I really wish I bought one, now they're very rare and expensive to come by.

Hey y'all.
'Sup? I'm watching videos about famiclones and waiting for the sun to come up so I can play with my digital camera in decent light.

^^^ Same here. My mother's family had an NES but they kept it when she and my dad and I moved out...

My first video game was Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse.
I might emulate this one once my gamepad adapter gets here. I'm nostalgic but not enough to fuss with the cables for the Genesis for one game.

Oh holy fuck, we've been talking about retrogaming all weekend and I didn't even mention:
In addition to a plain jane NES, my mother's family had one of those TVs with the NES built in!
My uncle had it until at least 2008. Last I heard he gave it away to a friend without realizing how incredibly rare and valuable it was. :(

When my aunt and uncle still lived in Ohio they had it in a guest bedroom, where they had it hooked up to cable as a regular TV. I asked about it and they said the NES was "broken" and that the games were all at Grandma's house anyway.
I wish I'd known then what I know now; I would have asked for it. I'll bet all it needed was a new 72-pin connector...

There's a game store I frequent that would almost certainly have an SNES for a decent price, but I keep thinking that after the cost of games and controllers it would be more money than I could justify spending on something I'd play with twice and then forget.
I do want to keep an eye out at the thrift stores, though. There's one not too far from here that always seems to have PlayStation 1s, oddly enough, but I have one of those already and if I wanted to play PS1 games I'd use my shiny new PS2.

Mildly embarrassing confession: I got a new (!) PlayStation 2 for my birthday as late as 2010. I needed to replace my old one, because the jack for the power adapter was busted, but I wanted to buy it new because Sony had recently tweaked the design to use an internal power supply and I didn't want to have the power adapter screw me over a second time.

Do you know that Sony has just announced that they will stop making the PS2?
I think the best gift I've ever gotten was the Gamecube I got on Christmas in, like 2003. That was when they were bundled with Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, the original, and Adventure of Link. I think that Collector's Edition is probably my most played game ever, and if it isn't it's second only to Oblivion. But that's another story entirely.

I actually got past the first level on Imi's game
and then I got a few levels in and got a game over, and for some reason my save didn't, well, save.
So now I'm back to level one. :|
there is no such thing as a good guitar VST, or at least one that actually sounds like a guitar.
try a synthesizer instead.
Super Nintendo
Sega Genesis
when I was flat broke man I couldn't picture this
my first console was a Dreamcast. We had a PS1 around the same time and later switched to being a mostly Xbox family.
anyone remember Blinx The Timesweeper?
they were on stickers.
I had Sonic 2, as well as a Beavis and Butt-head game with some hospital level that I could never get past
I'd get SMW and Yoshi's Island and SMRPG for it, at least
I might grab those for VC someday (I have OOT and MM, but not LOZ, Zelda II, or LTTP)
Listening to Daughn Gibson's All Hell.
I don't usually like country but this is quite impressive so far.
I have yet to beat it, though
I'm still at Bowser's Keep's puzzle section, which I find fairly tedious
I played through most of the game in 2008
