ZUN is the guy who makes the Touhou games. Mostly by himself but sometimes with outside help.

He's also semi-responsible for the lesser known Seihou series.

You know, I'd be fine with this song if it were only the second half from 3:12 onward.

But it isn't. Still. I guess the buildup made it better to Muse. The first half seems a bit melodramatic in comparison, but maybe that might have been slightly intentional given the second half's Queen sensibility.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, there is no way I could listen to this song without its introduction.

I think it's very unfitting as an Olympics song, but I can understand why they made it such, it does have that big bombastic feel of the Games.

I adore the entirety of Knights of Cydonia, to be honest. The first 3 minutes have the best lyrics, and that really cool brassy bit.
