Honestly, a good chunk of what I listen to on my computer is spoken word stuff (podcasts, Stuart Ashen videos, etc.) and sound quality isn't really a concern with that stuff anyway as long as I can understand what's being said.
Hell, a lot of it doesn't have that great sound to begin with...even Doug Walker, of all people, admitted that he just used his camcorder's built-in microphone when he recorded his Nostalgia Critic episodes.
Sound quality is really, really subjective, especially with headphones -- but I think that for the most part, there's not too much that separates high end from low end.
Then you have those $300 ones you all were talking about a while ago whose response was shiftier than televangelist. Those are just hilarious
I think "good headphones", wherein "good" means "studio quality" generally go for about $100-$120. Don't quote me there, tho.
Also, I have my NES controller set up and am going to somehow try to play Imi's game with it.

^^^That's actually refreshing to hear.
Some years ago I used to do the audiophile thing and I wasted a lot of fucking money to listen to my system and not the music it produced, and I fried more than a few speakers trying to tweak passive crossovers and the like to get that perfect sound (which I would have no clue what it would be if I did but that didn't stop me.)
Nowadays I do my best to get good sound as cheap as possible, and I think I mentioned it here before but my entire home theater setup (5.1) cost less than $150 total. A few years ago I also purchased a pair of Sony headphones like yours except they had noise-canceling (fucking awesome on a plane) and ran only $50. I fucking love the sound of those things.
Good sound done dirt cheap is best. If you like the results, that's all that matters.

@Anonus: Lately, mostly the Gravity Falls Gossiper, though back in the day I listened to a lot of Grammar Girl episodes.

Oh, one last thing before I go: I also have a pair of $3 earbuds. They sound crap like you'd expect, but I carry them with me because oftentimes I'd get stuck at school or something and find myself wanting to listen to something despite not having my "real" headphones with me.
There are a couple of ways to record your gameplay footage from video game consoles. The easiest way is to connect the game console to the PC, but you'll need a video card with video inputs, a dedicated capture card, or a Firewire/USB converter.
You can buy PC capture cards that will accept composite, S-Video, or component video signals. They can cost several hundred dollars, though, and aren't significantly different from a device that converts video into Firewire or USB. So unless you want to use your PC monitor as a TV, you should go with a more affordable analog-to-digital video converter that converts your console's video signals into a Firewire or USB connection that can be read by your PC. Firewire converters can be somewhat pricey, but they work well. If you're on a tight budget, a USB converter would be the best choice. Assuming your computer already has a USB 2.0 port, all you would need is the converter. You can find basic kits that include a converter and video-editing software, like the Dazzle Video Creator 85, for around $50.
You can also hook up your console to a recording deck first before capturing to a computer. You would do this if you wanted to save a physical tape of your footage or if your console isn't close to your computer. You can use a variety of equipment for this method.

If you're going to capture the game off of a console (SNES or Playstation) then you'll need a capture card, and the good news is those things are dirt fucking cheap now.

I'm back from Westerville. I went straight there after dropping off Grandma, so it was still dark when I got there. I parked in Uptown and walked around Otterbein University's campus for a bit, but it was still dark so I'm not sure many of those photos turned out well. By the time I got back to Uptown it was lighter, so I walked around a bit there and took photos.
Then I headed north to Polaris Parkway to get some shots of traffic signals and overhead street signs. After that I headed for home, but passed Central Avenue on the way and I just had to stop and take pictures of the signs, even if it meant people stared at me while I was walking up and down the street.

The first thing I noticed was the tab with the Interstate 70 shield.
The second thing I noticed was the circled part. In any event, if it was really the FBI, I would hope they would know better than to, you know, outright say it's the FBI.

Also, watching Extra Credits has given me an idea.
That whole trope/meme/cliche/whateveryouwannacallit only resulted because so many stories with Newberrys (Newberries? idk) do have someone dying.
