Well, Forsythe already is in the military, but hey then him and Moja can be like Bubba and Forrest Gump, and they can tell us all about the furry kids they have to put up with in the military while their black drill instructors yell at them.
Forsythe said that drafting furries into the military will give them a dosage of reality, but furries have been proven to be unreliable when it comes to military progress (after all, I recall no famous furry soldiers in any country or any of their fursonas). I'd rather have extremely reliable men and women being drafted into the military instead of furries, which tend to be daydreaming teenagers with overactive imaginations. How are a bunch of teenagers and their fursonas going to protect this country from threats?

I'm going to be as polite as I can about this. For the rest of your life, you are going to befriend, work for, and work with people whose opinions are not aligned with or directly oppose yours. And you're going to need to learn how to handle that without blowing up and/or raging about it.

But the quote translated to "All black people are not poor because a few are poor, so all furries are not gross because a few of them are gross" in my head, which is what I think it was supposed to mean. Which ultimately means poor furries can understand gross black people and vice versa.

Now I have no idea how universal my particular decision would be, but I sincerely doubt I'm alone in it.
You have to understand that I respect the military for a couple reasons--they defend the country, put their lives on the line--things like that, stuff everyone mentions. I do not however, actually endorse military activity. Ever. As in, you know, never.
If I "blew up every time someone had an opinion contrary to mine", I could never have a conversation with you simply knowing you're a marine, and for that matter, I could never have a conversation with any of my other four friends who are also in the military, one of whom is another marine.
I'm a pacifist, and you can call that hippie bullshit if you want, but I would legitimately rather end my own life than join the military. You can call that cowardice if you want to, I don't care. This has nothing to do with you, nothing to do with your father, and nothing to do with your life. At all.
You were the one who offhandedly mentioned that a mandatory draft is a good idea, and I don't think it is. I then said that I would rather kill myself than endure military training--and I would--when you promptly brought up your father.
