You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
Also I loved Wayside School as a kid but now realize that it's kinda built on that sort of "randomness is inherently funny!" humor.
Oh, another thing I liked about Captain Underpants: for as childish as the humor is, Pilkey doesn't actually talk down to his audience. The books have some amount of social commentary about how some overly strict school policies (banned books, etc.) stymie children's creativity, but it's not overly preachy and if anything I (as a kid, at least) felt like Pilkey was advocating for me.
...perhaps this is nostalgia talking; maybe I should pick up one of the books and see if it still holds up.

Family Guy can be funny, but most of the time it's just sorta meh. I'm not the type to say pop culture references aren't funny, but when you rely on them as heavily as FG does they get old fast.

Oh, and Self-Righteous Left-Wing Antitheist Canine tends to range from almost tolerable to completely insufferable.
And when I'm annoyed by a self-righeous left-wing antitheist character, you know something's wrong.
FG was good, then it got sucky. It is improving though.
MacFarlane is better when he pares the cutaway gags to a minimum. Hence why I like AmDad. The cutaways are hilarious if done right though, and ted used them to great effect.

Yeah. I like the idea of Brian's character but it seemed like up till recently he was just a mouthpiece for what Seth/the writers thought about the situation portrayed. He's gotten better in the newer seasons though.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
It seems like this is "Read It and Weep" but I'm not in the hospital (I hope I don't have to go for anything but a routine check-up!) and I'm Rainbow Dash

Well, yeah, but I don't read books very often
I always did find it weird that "nerds" don't tend to be into American animation but honestly the majority of the newest stuff is aimed at children or really juvenile anyway (I like juvenile things but still)
Thigh Gap: If you don't have one and you're a girl, you might as well sell the souls of your family to a Daedric Prince for one. And maybe the souls of your old math teachers, just to make sure. (this is stupid)

It just seems like Japanese animation is more popular among nerds, and the only American cartoons that really get talked about are nostalgic ones, anything to do with DC Comics, Adventure Time, MLP:FIM, and Gravity Falls.

comparing this to the studio version is cray.
I'm not sure I can say this in good conscience because I did a shitton of vidya gaems too
It was probably about half and half
Also, what little I've seen of Family Guy was annoying. I am not a hipster
That bad bad irc.

Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
