Yeah, I used to make that joke all the time. People would ask me where I was born and I'd say "Bethlehem" and they'd be all "!" and then I'd continue and say Pennsylvania and then they would stop being amazed.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022

I need to move to the UK so I can have Welsh joke privileges

God
"Welsh" is so fun to say
So is "Cardiff"
Why can't the English have fun proper names
Instead they have Gloucestershire, and my American brain shuts down when I try to pronounce that
"It is a matter of grave importance that Fairy tales should be respected.... Whosoever alters them to suit his own opinions, whatever they are, is guilty, to our thinking, of an act of presumption, and appropriates to himself what does not belong to him." -- Charles Dickens

Granted, I guess someone who lives in a state with rivers called "Scioto" and "Olentangy" has no right to complain about unpronounceable names.
"It is a matter of grave importance that Fairy tales should be respected.... Whosoever alters them to suit his own opinions, whatever they are, is guilty, to our thinking, of an act of presumption, and appropriates to himself what does not belong to him." -- Charles Dickens
"The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one".
Other forms of the name are longer still: "Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauo tamateaurehaeaturipukakapikimaunga horonukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu" has 92 letters. An even longer version, Taumata-whakatangihanga-koauau-o-Tamatea-haumai-tawhiti-ure-haea-turi-pukaka-piki-maunga-horo-nuku-pokai-whenua-ki-tana-tahu, has 105 letters and means The hill of the flute playing by Tamatea — who was blown hither from afar, had a slit penis, grazed his knees climbing mountains, fell on the earth, and encircled the land — to his beloved.

So...if I go chasing after AU, does that make me a gold digger?

I keep picturing Anonus and I traveling the old Lincoln Highway in northern Ohio.
Most of it's been bypassed by the US 30 expressway, but the old route mostly still exists as county-maintained roads...it would be fun, traveling this little old back road that was the main highway 50 years ago!
