If I was feeling rude I'd just go "laaaaate", but you should probably take note that we haven't been arguing for almost an hour, and that we resolved the whole thing in another thread.
You know, I dislike piracy as well, and I don't think it is very fair to call it a 'hot button issue' when clearly it is something that one shouldn't do, at least in most cases. I am not adamant about it, but I do discourage piracy.
Cream can we just not discuss this.
Like, I have a different opinion on this than you and Kexruct do because blah blah reasons.
I would really rather not get to the point where we're having to yell at each other because, again, blah blah reasons.
Like I could I explain if I thought I'd convince you but I don't really think I would so I don't want to bother, and I don't think you'd convince me either.
I know we have a different opinion but you kind of started a thing, because he expressed a view discouraging piracy, which I don't think is very fair, especially because things a lot more controversial than that will come up in conversation, just naturally. The important thing is to handle these topics maturely.
OK, but, you know, how?
Because again, we're really not going to convince each other here. I just don't see the point.
I've had this discussion probably hundreds of times and it's basically the same thing each time. It's one of those things that's it's kind of impossible to have a constructive conversation about.
People want things. People don't want to pay for things. Should people pay for things?
See, the thing is that the argument rarely gets beyond the question of "is that what the situation is here or not?"
Because I think the issue is obviously much more complicated than that, and I am willing to bet that you think the situation is obviously not more complicated than that.
If people were okay with paying for things then they wouldn't pirate. Really, you can get into the ethics of making people pay for things all you want but the fact of the matter is that you're getting something everyone else has to pay for.
