You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I read the latest Homestuck updates while waiting for a doctor appointment earlier, and I noticed something. Is it just me, or is Mom channeling Hella Jeff?
And now I'm lsitening to Linkara's review of Marville #1 while I work on the damn code that won't behave. (:P).
This is probably the closest thing to Sonichu I've seen him do yet. References no one will get, and are lame jokes even if you do get them! Personal Dictionary and You Keep Using That Word galore! Plots that make no sense and descend into pot-shots at people! It's well-drawn and doesn't completely devolve into some twisted version of The Punisher like Sonichu does, but damn.
It's like someone looked at Bimbos in Time and said "HEY LET'S DO THIS WITH INDUSTRY INJOKES!"

I watched that a couple days ago.
The premise reminded me of AU's nonsense posts: In the year 5002, Ted Turner has purchased the planet Earth, renamed it Turner, and then sold it to AOL, who renamed it AOLon.

Trust me. That doesn't really make any more sense in context.
As for Atop the Fourth Wall...I like the comic reviews and all, but the whole ongoing storyline thing is kinda annoying. Especially seeing as how I only watch every fourth video or so and I can't pick up the continuity anyway. Though to Linkara's credit, he's at least learned to put the storyline stuff at the end of his videos so those who aren't interested (like me) can stop watching after the review proper is done.
Linkara is at his best when he's doing deep analysis, such as with History of Power Rangers. I also really like That's All I'm Saying, so far, though I sense that that's a limited-run series. AT4W...I have to admit, I do find some of the story elements intriguing, but it ends up running into the same issue as Homestuck or any other series with lots of continuity: People find it intimidating and say "OH GOD NO JUST GIVE ME THE GOOD STUFF".
Also, on another topic, I was just reading "The Problem with Threads" (warning: math)...and kept thinking of ~ATH and the MOB1US DOUBL3 R34CH4ROUND virus.

Also I keep wanting to read "DOWNTOWN / Cincinnati" as "Downtown Cincinnati", though I suppose the meaning is clear enough in the context of the sign's location (i.e., near downtown Columbus and in the general direction of Cincinnati).

Also, is Atop the Fourth Wall any good? You never talk about it.

Why do they have storylines, anyway?
