Ok, Kex, I know talking about TVT isn't strictly against the rules here, but I'd kinda prefer if we not drag up months-old mock threads to complain about now, especially since it seems to be accomplishing little other than getting you worked up.
FWIW, the "goons mock tropers" saga is pretty much over. All incarnations of their TVT thread have been shut down by SA mods long ago, as has the general internet mockery thread that replaced it.

So anyway one of the artbooks I found was from 1984, from the artist who did the designs for Leda, a very old OVA that inspired the Valis series (the fantasy video game series and not the PK Dick novel.) That's the ultimate find for me right there. One of her illustrations in the book, I'm going to scan in and turn into a nice framed print on the wall.

I currently have three working pairs of headphones:
My Sonys from last Christmas, which are incredibly rugged and still sound surprisingly good considering they're jury-rigged with electrical tape inside.
An off-brand pair from this Christmas, which don't sound as good as the Sonys, but fit on my head much better
A cheap-ass pair of earbuds, which only really serves to be taken for places I don't want to take a "real" pair of headphones. (I can leave them in my backpack, etc.)
ted by Seth MacFarlane was a good movie. It reminded me of American Dad, although they did intersperse a few cutaway gags not unlike Family Guy.
Weirdly enough, though, ted actually did a better job with the cutaways.
My only real gripe with the movie was that it felt like one particular story thread it introduced was shoehorned in for the hell of it, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was: the parts involving Ted's stalkers. Sure, it's a very McFarlane kind of plot, but when the rest of the movie's basically a romcom/raunchfest, putting in an (almost) humorless "predator" thread seems like an odd left-field addition.
But the rest of the movie was great. Got me to tears from laughing at some points.

Yeah...my mother and I were talking about how it will make it look like I'm "supposed to" be out shooting photos of road stuff and we reflected (no pun intended) on the irony of using something designed to attract attention to blend in.

Now that I look at it, Capcom's port of Ghosts and Goblins to the NES (and later the same port and graphics taken to the Gameboy Color) are actually really spot-on. What was really a hack job was the Genesis port of Ghouls N' Ghosts that Sega handled themselves. It's insane how EGM gave that game 9's and 10's considering how shoddy Sega managed it. What's stellar, though, is the Supergrafx port which showed that the system could muster the cojones to handle the CPS-1 hardware, which the Genesis (and to a certain extent, the Super NES) couldn't do.

Any other fan artists you would recommend?
Edit: Cool. I'll check that out.
v: I'll check that one out too.
