  • I would rather have a rabbit's face burned with chemicals than have my little sister.

Because i like my sister more than any rabbit.

christmas eve what about christmas adam

My mother calls 23 December "Christmas Adam", because "Adam came before Eve."

Of course, I get the feeling she just does this to annoy her brother, whose birthday is 23 December.

    Is his name Adam?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure going after him for being a naive teen rather than going after his points counts as going after him personally.

Not only is it counterproductive, but it is also poor debate practice and it would never fly in a real one.

    No, his name is Joe.

Also, I had mother straighten my hair. I'm worried Anonus won't like it because it's not "fluffable" anymore.

But...standing in front of the mirror, combing it out...I feel like a woman. I like that feeling...it's addictive

  • Are you sure?
It assumes that your sister is unable to refrain from using cleaning agents that, were it not for them being experimented on animals, would contain chemicals that would burn her face off. She could use perfectly safe products that were not used to burn rabbits' faces off, if she must use such a product. :)

At some point all products are tested on animals.

You know the ones that say "not tested on animals"?

The reason they aren't is because all of the ingredients in them were tested on animals by other companies in the past, which means that they don't have to do any testing themselves.

The past is cool like that.

...oh. >_> but I guess if I buy products that are un-experimented then that will not contribute to more being done because it takes advantage of stuff with which the damage is already done instead of encouraging companies to continue "developing" new chemicals. I guess.

    Yeah.

Another thing to keep in mind is that if you think about it, the suffering of an animal being tested on is limited.

I think, given the choice and the ability to make it, (*for example*) a mouse would rather be gassed to death after a life of getting sufficient food than live a life of constant struggle ended by having it's head brutally ripped off by an owl or a cat.

I wasn't going after him for being naive.

    I was admiring his idealism.

Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression.

And even then, I wish the ways in which animals were killed for food were less gruesome.

Bolt-stunning seems to be quite humane.

    In other news

I've seen: A muppets christamas carol, Blackadders christmas carol and a Christmas Carol (which is animated) today

That is oddly comforting in a way I can't quite explain

  • Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
My grades for this semester are posted. Much to my surprise, I got all As. No, seriously.
