And now I'm pondering what year Todd in the Shadows should do next for the "Worst Songs Of" list. I'm thinking 1991, since it has several of the problems 1987 and 1976 did. Cheese rap was at its zenith (or its nadir, if you're so inclined), hair metal was dying, grunge came onto the scene, and gangsta rap (or The Chronic, at least) was only a year off. And what wasn't cheese rap or novelty one-hit-wonders was the same kind of dull adult-contemporary that he hated so much in 1987.

But why? Who decided which people have to live and which people didn't even exist? And why?

Hmm...let me try it this way: what is the purpose of life? Not an individual's life, but life in general.
It seems like the only goal intrinsic to life is to pave the way for more life, be it through procreation, or contributions to society that will benefit future life. Life is self-perpetuating, but to what end?

No, because I am actually generally content with life.
Are you not?
Life has no goal because evolution is not an entity but a force.
Thus, life has no meaning. Thus, we can give it whatever meaning we want.
My preferred meaning?
