It's just so mean spirited, though. Tropers aren't harming anyone, and the haters don't do anything to change what annoys them.
Thats different from saying the only thing worse than tropers is the haters.
Some tropers are really awful.
The haters, as I find them, tend to hate on tropers for the sole purpose of getting people angry, jokers like CrazyGoggs and this person who are willing to pull up ancient history without context (e.g. Made of Meat).
The majority of tropers are simply apathetic or ignorant of the pockets of evil that permeate the site.
It's hard to root for the haters.

Because, from what I've seen, that's what the vast majority of "the haters" were doing...just sitting around snarking at stupidity posted on TVT. (And a good amount of it was snark-worthy, too, really.)

Snarking can become douchebaggery very quickly. Not to say I don't agree with you about how snark-worthy TvT could be, but I for example have an anxiety disorder that makes me very sensitive about people judging me for what I say and as a result I am not okay with that kind of thing.
