  I think you would've liked TVTropes circa 2009-2010, Corporal. It was pretty similar to here. At least Yack Fest was, notsomuch the other sub-boards.

  2007 gave us tumblr, Primeval, The Sarah-Jane Adventures and the last Harry Potter.
  
  Also KateModern, which with hindsight was rather dumb but I enjoyed it at the time.
  
  It was also the year that BT launched the Street Talk 6 with JCDecaux, the only new BT kiosk of the decade.
