I just hate the thought that the rest of my life will most likely be spent working a job I hate just to get by while some greedy-ass CEO profits from my hard work and gives himself a massive bonus.
I feel a need to do something better than that with my life.
This is why you get ambitious and overcome said CEO by making more money than him.
Apparently. For some reason, things that are supposed to be uplifting and motivational to right wingers invariably leave me feeling like a hopeless failure, which of course proves them right. But the idea is probably encouraging on some level if you don't react like that.
What do I want? I want to be warm. I want food, and shelter. I want to spend time with people who I like and who like me. I want to feel wakeful and not tired. I want to learn about things and know lots and lots about all kinds of things.

I wish there was a way to make something of myself in this society without having to support the status quo
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
What it takes...I don't know if I have that.
My goal in life is not to make a shitload of money (I don't think I have the "money is a drug" mentality that must explain why money-minded executives are still at it), but to make the best of my ambition (which is to be a graphic designer)...

My thing is this: Even ignoring the fact that not everybody has an opportunity to become a CEO even if they tried, and the fact that people who are rich and powerful have an interest in keeping other people from becoming rich and powerful...
Wouldn't becoming a CEO imply that I think it's okay that you need to become a CEO to have a decent life?

Do you need to? I don't buy that.
And if you don't need to, it wouldn't have to imply anything of the sort.

But if I'm not a CEO, but I make a living with some job at XYZ Corporation, aren't I kinda supporting the status quo by contributing to XYZ Corporation's continued existence?

I guess so, but we all live in this society and we have to eat to live.
I dunno, I mean it's obviously not the only career path.

A lot of people legitimately worked really hard to build a business, and business can change lives for the better. There are corrupt CEOs and unscrupulous business decisions, but I don't think that condemns the entire structure.

I find them very difficult to compare.
Homestuck occupies more of my time and thoughts at present and has done for a long time now, but Problem Sleuth is basically perfect in every way.
