We've had quite a few serious topics discussed lately and no one has really lost their shit or anything.
You've never struck me as particularly uptight or stuffy, even in debates. Or, at the very least, I've had discussions with people and also simply observed others that where way, way, WAY more uptight about their position and how the treated the whole thing.
I do get worked up about pointless shit, a lot. Not just online, and not just pointless shit, stuff I blow out of proportion. More lately than usual. wanna change that.

I found out how to reliably spawn Abandoned Mineshafts floating above the ground in superflat, I have used this coupled with a cool seed where a complex of them spawns directly above the village as the basis for my survival challenge.

Regardless of the statement he's trying to make...how does that comparison make sense? The US Postal Service and an iPhone don't serve remotely the same function, except for the very vague idea of enabling communication.

Was I the only one who thought the black iPhone looked really sinister here? For a moment I was thrown off-balance and really wasn't sure what the message was.
Honestly I never found the iPhone's design all that appealing, and doubly so here since we're looking at the back of it, which is just a black rectangle with stuff printed on it. It's kinda funny, since Ramirez so lovingly rendered the mail truck...
It's private enterprise and free market which are code for good things, vs bureaucracy and big government which are code for bad things.
The author of the blog I found this on pointed out the reason for the bizarre analogy: Ramirez used an iPhone to represent private enterprise because the real private-enterprise equivalent of the postal service would be private carriers like UPS, which is pretty much known for frustrating people by refusing to deliver packages in a timely manner.
(That, and the postal service effectively functions like a private corporation anyway.)

I don't think this means what they think it means.
If you interpret that literally, wouldn't it mean that punching one month and one year (as is the normal practice) would invalidate it? "And/or" is some tricky business.
Punching more than one month and more than one year invalidates this permit. Punching more than one month invalidates this permit. Punching more than one year invalidates this permit.
Help me out of my misery here. Which of these statements is false?
Or is there an ambiguity I've missed?
Edit: Wait, I know, are you taking "month and/or year" to imply that month and year may be taken as interchangeable, i.e. so that punching one month and one year has a value of 2 (months and/or years) as opposed to 1 month + 1 year?
