Good counterargument: The teacher tends to be understanding when it comes to lateness.
Bad counterargument: This is the third or fourth time that I've screwed up like this in her class. Who knows what she'll do.
Conclusion: Nothing I can do until she sends a response e-mail, the hall's watching Elf downstairs, and I haven't had any significant human contact in two days. I know what I'm doing.
There is a disappointing lack of databases on Nippon Ichi's games that aren't Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. But, surely I am not insane enough to try and create wiki content for them? These are games for which just defeating all of the bosses takes like 200 hours... >_>
That's because the Disgaea series are the only ones that registered with people as fun
I've tried playing Rhapsody, I own La Pucelle and Phantom Brave, and I never got more than a few chapters in to any of them because they're boring as fuck. Also, they have weird-ass monsters and classes like goofy mushroom creatures and shit. That's probably another reason why Disgaea has an audience, its roster is recognizable with just about everyone's favorite monster and/or class being represented.
I'm not the only one who thinks this way, either. It's actually a pretty common sentiment amongst Disgaea players, and I own (and have finished) all four games in the series. Hell, it's the sole reason I bought a PS3.
The Gathering Some Magics thread reads like a parallel version of the forum where the people who seldom post are the ones who post the most and vice versa.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I wrote two pages ideas for my motel-blog-story thing.
Ironically, it's a Christmas-themed idea that I first conceived several months ago.

Am I imagining that?
Actually, that seems like a pretty legit observation.
How much time would it take to get a decent grasp for learning how to play Magic? I've always been interested in learning, but never devoted any time to it.
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
My own game probably has a bunch of hurdles to jump (a crossover between two longstanding intellectual properties, currently a one-man project), myself...

Hmmm, kinda hard to answer.
It may not take a lot of time to get the basics, but then you get into nuances like the stack and all the many, many different abilities.
You could check the MtG thread to see if anyone wouldn't mind attempting to teach you some things over cockatrice.

Alright, once I'm done with my work for the semester, I'll do that.
Once upon a time, I was involved in an RPG Maker project with a couple of other tropers (including thespacephantom)
Sadly, interest died before anything past planning began
Everyone wants to be the guy with the initial idea or inspiration, nobody wants to do the gruntwork
Shigeru Miyamoto started with a z80 assembler and the desire to create something and did, and it was only after all those years of dedicated and hard work that he gets to dream up something like Super Mario Galaxy
What obligation do we have to truth? Truth is cruel, spiteful, petty, and entirely unsatisfactory at times. Must we accept a flawed reality just because it is true? I say no. I say we throw logic away and say what feels true. We don't have to accept the truth, we can make our own truth; we can't change the past but we can change the future, and we don't have to put up with this soapy, clean, flawed, unfair, reality.
Whining about it won't change anything, we've got to make things better.
Right after I finish this apology for my opinions.
Well, at the very least I should know how to make Flash art by the end of the year. I can't imagine games would be more than a little bit of scripting to map events with actions in addition to that.
Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
And the only reason Texas is ahead of Oklahoma on throwing people into the slammer and onto death row is simply because our population is several times larger

You know what I still don't understand.
What Americans call the "inside lane" people in other countries (at least the UK and Australia, IIRC) call the "outside lane", and vice versa.
I don't understand why you would call the lane closest to the edge of the road the "inside lane"...

Oklahoma is pretty well-known for how harsh its prison system is
For instance, one of the things they're very proud of is how they're pretty much the most monetarily-efficient state prison system in America, with each prisoner's 3 meals per day not costing a penny over (last I saw) $2.10
in fact, that miserliness extends to the final meals on death row, which can't cost over $15 and must be immediately available locally
When they opened the new death row unit like 10 or so years back, they forced the prison band to play at the ribbon-cutting ceremony and serve the guests at the party

let me point out that their policy on trolls is "find the funniest stuff they do and print it out and hang it on the cubicle walls"
why does anyone still use last.fm.
I haven't touched the site in so long my username there is still El The Daze.

Yesterday, I didn't even think I'd hit the minimum word limit.
And I still have to write a conclusion.

Nevermind, crisis aborted.
Unless there are chunks you can just drop, then it's not so bad.
^ Or that works too.

Hmm. I might experiment with things before then.
LOL
Sounds like he got what was coming to him. Should count himself lucky he wasn't shot.
