CA: The only place I've seen signs like those around here are on I-64 through the interior of West Virginia, from Sam Black Church to Beckley. There are some nasty grades through there. And I'm actually kind of tempted to see how my Prius would handle it, considering a lot of the braking would go to the battery or to the inverter's radiator, not the friction brakes.

See, most of Ohio is flat, so we don't have any real steep grades here. But thankfully we have 1950s engineers to design manmade highway hazards for us.

Yeah, the grades in the Appalachians are far and away steeper and more dangerous than the ones we have out west here. You wouldn't think that's the case, but it is.

You know what I find irritating?
Radio commercials with disclaimers at the end that are digitally sped up.
Is it really that hard to just hire someone who can talk fast?

You know...
Sometimes I think it would be cool to build a little town in HO scale so I can meticulously lay out its street grid and all the signage and such things.
But I worry doing so would mean I have no life... >_>

Even here in the DC area, the hills can get steep in places. I-395 goes up and down a huge ravine to enter and leave the Holmes Run valley in Alexandria, and several streets in Arlington and DC proper look like they belong in San Francisco. And this is in a place where the highest "mountain" is about 500 feet about sea level (they don't start getting higher until you go further west).

Is it weird that I would want my model town to include shit that would be dangerous in real life?
Like railroad crossings where the street meets the railway at a close angle. Those are hazardous, for obvious reasons, but it captures the sorta small-town feel I'm going for...

You do realize that this is a very mainstream hobby, right
Also, it's a very creative and interactive hobby, not like simply collecting or other stuff like that

Pfft, a Porsche could blow through that curve doing at least 50.

Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
His name is Notch
and the reason why it's such a complicated stupid mess is because Notch is a programmer and programmers should not be allowed to design interfaces for anything utility whatsoever
Notch doesn't even work on Minecraft anymore. He has moved on to other things. It's the goddamn modders.
Every tutorial I find is "well it's quite simple, first you have to [A BUNCH OF FUCKING JARGON I DON'T UNDERSTAND] and then [MORE JARGON] and then finally [MORE GOD-DAMN JARGON]"
I have tried installing this fucking thing six times now and I've had to re-download Minecraft itself that many times because I keep breaking the goddamn thing.

I was actually trying to avoid pointing out the obvious: autism

^WHAT
oh my fucking god why is installing mods for minecraft so freaking complicated.
even installing the things to simplify the installation of mods is complicated
whose idea of a joke is this
no. No it has nothing to do with Notch.

It just feels "wrong" to me, somehow, to do a model town without model railroads involved.
what are you.
FUCKING WHAT
