You know what I don't understand? Conservatives who say that everyone on welfare should "just get a job" but also bitch about how high unemployment has been under Obama.
I mean...really? You're gonna acknowledge that jobs are scarce, then turn around and imply that the only reason not to have a job is laziness?

I think when Conservatives say that they are referring to a specific group of people.
eg. my stepfather, who has used unemployment to make him not have to work for the next two years while still getting far more money a month than my mother (who works full time) does, and has also been able to get the federal government to pay for him to go back to school, because he was technically laid off by his company.

Yeah, but they seem to believe that like all unemployed people are like that, which, from my personal experience, just isn't the case.

I'm sure some do, but I wouldn't say all of them think that.
Even my mother who is probably the most conservative person I know (conservative enough to vote Constitutionalist) is willing to admit that some people do need unemployment. I think it's more of a stupidity thing than a political alignment thing.

Not all conservatives do this, but it does seem to be a common view, especially among more sheltered individuals.
In general, I get the impression that political groups perceive the people they demonize as being a lot more prevalent and threatening than their opponents perceive them as being.

I feel like the internet eats up most of the time I would otherwise spend reading.
You'd be surprised at how addicting the internet is when it's your primary form of social interaction. >_<

Same here.
Which is not so bad when I'm learning stuff. It's after wasting time clicking around forums, webcomics, or stupid lists like on Cracked that I feel guilty.
This is a major reason why I take extended breaks from the Internet sometimes.

You piqued my curiosity so I set mine to "English (UK)"
The only difference I've noticed so far is "Favourites"

Agreed. When I'm being productive (learning something or creating something "worthwhile") I don't mind it so much, but oftentimes I just end up dicking around on forums and looking at nonsense on Tumblr.
I've thought about taking internet breaks, but, er, there's a certain Coloradan who I think would be upset if I did... >_>

Trying to switch my YouTube back and...is it just me, or is there genuinely no "United States" option?
On June 19, 2007, Google CEO Eric Schmidt was in Paris to launch the new localization system.[93] The interface of the website is available with localized versions in 42 countries, one territory (Hong Kong) and a worldwide version.[94][95] Country Language Launch date USA (and worldwide launch) English (American) February 15, 2005[93]

"Worldwide" was what I went with...
It's strange; apparently visiting http://youtube.co.uk/ switched my "content location", but I had to switch the English language thing manually.

Minor annoyance: The "Share" button on the new YouTube page doesn't have the "long link" option anymore.
I used that a lot; it was an easy way to get a "clean" link for embedding here without having to copy from the address bar and delete all that &feature=related junk...

I am also like this. I wonder if this is common?

Is there really that much of a difference?
Does it like, change how certain words are spelled by default?

I have yet to notice any difference, I just find it kind of puzzling.

It would be funny if that was literally the entire difference. One letter 'u'. Bizarre.
Maybe "Worldwide"? It's an American site.
There we go.
Some of the questions were basically unanswerable, though.

And while we're at it let's ban the dictionary too.
What the fuck.
Pointless word repositories, who the fuck needs them?
That's not even a complete language with grammar and syntax, it's a list of sounds that people made more than once. What's the fucking point?
Fuck you dictionaries. Fuck you. Eat a dictionary.
Fucking things.
