    There isn't.
  • That really all depends on what time it is wherever you are.

If it's 3:00 AM or later, the answer is a pretty definitive no.

    It's 4:13 here.

I was planning on going to bed around 4 but I realized there's no point in that if I want to get up a little before 6, but my mother is giving my grandma a ride to work and I want to go with her.

So, are you going to do that "pretend to sleep while actually in bed playing pokemon" thing that is totally common and not at all just something I fear I'm the only one that does it?

^^ I know, old article, but I saw the Philips logo on a pack of blank CDs I bought for my sister and it made me want to go pull up the BN post.

    Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.

I've heard it as farsley, sage, rosemary and time.

    Yeah..makes no sense, eh?

    Not really.

What is an anorak? (insert meme-style answer here)

At various times, I was obsessed with Star Trek, Nintendo, Tolkien, the Beatles, James Joyce, Led Zeppelin, and Gravity's Rainbow. I doubt any of it qualifies me as an anorak.
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
^^"Anorak" isn't used like that. It's along the lines of "nerd" or "geek", except it usually implies obscurer interests.

squiddleTron: What Anonus means is that "anorak" refers to the person with the interest, not the interest itself.

Well today (yesterday?) my family met up with my grandparents and hung out a little bit. We didn't have much time, so we'll probably be going back over on Monday to spend a little more time.

At 6:00 we're going to "get up" and go open presents. Then later today we're having my mother's family over, which will be nice because my uncle's family is moving to Wisconsin very soon and this will be the last time we get to hang out with them before they go.

    It's Netflix.

Netflix does a number on battery life. It doubles when I stop streaming.

That sounds like a pain. Also bad programming.

Friday and I are going to do a little gift exchange in the morning. She usually doesn't celebrate, so she got a lot more for other holidays + her birthday. I did get her on thing though.

Thanks to a gift exchange, she has a lot anyways. I have several things under the tiny tree for me, as well.

Haven, Rott, and Leigh Sabio are going to show up around noon for some good ol' fashion gift exchange, feasting, and drinking. Board and card games are sure to be part of it.

Others to join as the day continues, a la some sort of holiday verity show special.

...That's probably a glitch of some sort. Most of the other pre-Disqus posts seem to have had their comments moved over.

Not that that makes it any less frustrating, though.

I remember this part of the original COSI. They did indeed have 7 phones around throughout the area that could call each other, but usually they were used by little kids (e.g., very young Central Avenue) who had no idea who they were talking to or where the person on the other end was.

I remember being amused at how "DOORBELL BUTTON" was labeled. Even when I was young enough to play here, I thought it was silly because kids young enough to not recognize a doorbell button probably don't know how to read, either.

Edit: Whoops, forgot to paste the link.

    OH GOD

    HAVEN'S BEEN READING MY THOUGHTS

    AAAAAAAA

I want to watch ponies, but don't know what episode and I was holding off until I got "finished" with Doctor Who. I am on series 5, and apart from what is left of that I have the next series, the new Christmas episode, "Love & Monsters" (which I skipped because I thought it was boring) and "Planet of the Dead" (which Netflix did not have for streaming, so it was added to the queue.).
  • "Love & Monsters" (which I skipped because I thought it was boring)

    This was a good idea.

I told him not to bother with that episode, but noooo, he was like "I MUST watch every single one!" so he started it and discovered that THE PRINCESS WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG, BITCH
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I do want to go back to it later, for some reason.

IIRC, I only watched after I'd exhausted all the other episodes that had aired at the time. Had to satisfy my Who craving.

Let me tell you. About Fallen London.
You could watch some of the older series if you start getting the itch again. "City of Death" is quite spiffy. (Or if radio plays don't put you off too much, Doctor Who and the Pirates is also good. But, hm, suddenly I'm falling down all this reminiscence about how I listened to it in the first place.)
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I keep wondering if the old show would be to my tastes.

I wonder that too. I've never actually watched it before.
