Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."

It has to be awkward of you're looking for skeletons for the natural history museum in a world where they are often animated and given sentience.
"Yes! This ancient dragon skeleton is perfectly preserved! Wait, what's that sound?"
"Zzz... hmm? Wha? Hey! Don't you know it's rude to wake someone up when they're taking a nap?"
includes fascinating portrayals of casual drug use at house parties, how the author/protagonist had conversations about post-punk while seeing his mate’s band perform at some shitty small venue, internal monologues about consumerism while observing people in a mall and that time when the protagonist had an epiphany about living in the moment while walking in the rain

Are there really that many of those kinds of books out there? Granted, I don't exactly go out of my way to look for them.

Anyway I hadn't thought of a museum for my game either...It would be in a Mushroom Kingdom space colony on the planet that Equestria is on but still... >_>
I have finals in a week and I've done most of the work on them, so I have more time now to do important things, like discuss the significance of Trapped In The Closet over on IJBM
Hey nerds if you want to combat fake geek girls how about instead of quizzing them on geek culture or calling them poseur sluts ask them if they have read/watched/played some obscure shit and when they say “no” react with enthusiasm and be all “OMG you have to try it it’s so totally awesome let me recommend you a bunch of stuff” and lend them out a bunch of super nerdy bullshit to the point where they’re inundated with it and they’ll either get into it a lot and really enjoy it or they’ll rethink the whole “if I pretend to be a nerd and like guy stuff cute sensitive nerd boys will like me” thing.

i would like to sleep but since dinner i have eaten two (2) pains au chocolat and four (4) reasonably sized jam doughnuts so i am running from sugar energy.
it is very gluttonous of me, but my boyfriend is away in scotland for the weekend. a) comfort eating and b) hes not there to tell me off for being unhealthy, its a win/win imo
I know the feeling, although I don't have exams coming up. At least when they're over they'll be over, right?
What are you studying at the moment, if you don't mind my asking?
Right now? Macroeconomics 102, Archaeology, British & American 19th Century Literary, Asian American Literature, and Environmental Science 101.
You?
Writing Lives, which is basically biography, and Textual Interventions which is applied theory. Plus my dissertation. All creative writing modules. Not my strong suit, but on the upside, no exams.
