Yeah, Alyssa is a fucking amazing artist and has told me she has her own webcomic in the works (it's about that little witch girl I think), but I don't know how far along she is with that. She's kind of a super-perfectionist, so it takes her a long time to draw anything.
So one of the cool things about this DungeonCrawl Stone Soup game I've been pimping about is mutations, which you can gain through a variety of means.
My troll, who is also a death knight (think Necromancer, but with more slashing stuff to pieces and zombie-having) found a pair of Mutation Potions, and me being me, I had him drink both. He lost a point of intelligence and a mana point, but in exchange he can now breathe fire and teleport at will.

Someone’s been waiting their whole lives to write this in

Does the fact that I find Ames Rooms cool mean I'm easily impressed?

Well then
Maybe we would wait a few hours and make it a lunch instead

I'm sold! :D
You know what I never understood? The whole thing where what we call the "second floor" people in the UK call the "first floor", and so on.

Yeah, I have this bad habit of saying "the UK" when I know I mean "the rest of the world" because it's the first example that comes to mind. >_<

For some reason I'm already thinking of blog stuff I want to do for Christmas.
Which I guess is good, because I would need to start pretty soon and if I don't write stuff down now I'll never get it done.

I would like to do a series of posts where I snark at Christmas songs, followed on 12/24 by a post where I snark at a cartoon Christmas special.
I'm wondering if I should make a thread here when the time comes and just copypaste the posts from my blog, or if I should just dump links to the blog in this thread...
"I think the reason I loathe London so much is because it smacks the fundamental mediocrity of humanity right in your face; there is simply no escaping it. The bottom line is that most people are mediocre, they really don't exist as thinking, self-aware creatures at all. They suck up the shit dished out by their parents, the tabloids and television and never have a thought in their lives. I don't mean this in any Nietzschean Ubermensch crappy way, as I, too, am a mediocre, loathsome, self-serving, morally delinquent specimen, but merely as a sad statement of inescapable truth. Living here would have extinguished any notions I ever had about humanity if they hadn't all died a long time ago, but even then, to come and live here in the midst of the flood is something else altogether. I think that's why my fundamental feeling these days is a great lassitude and weariness. Humanity is going nowhere and accomplishing nothing; it's just pigs in a trough, and that's being unfair on pigs, who are very clean animals."
the picture you used as a background for the door in this strip (third panel, fourth if you count READY as a panel)
Is also present in Yume 2kki in a certain area.
I'm 99% sure it's the same picture. I'll check next time I play 2kki if I remember to.
I'll explain this one
when I was a little kid, the local K-mart in town had a little cafeteria or snack bar tucked in the back that got removed some years later. I remember seeing it as a kid but never going into it for anything. Anyway by this time as a kid we'd already had two major road trips that I remember -- one was the long drive to Las Vegas and San Diego (which I somewhat remember even though I was 3, I remember Circus Circus) and another was a long drive back to mom's little hometown on the other side of New Mexico (Silver City, where Ralph Bakshi of all people now live.) I had a vivid dream or something as a kid that in that cafeteria are, there was a door and next to it a bowl of feathers. You'd pay for a feather, and blow the feather under the door and wherever in the world you wanted to go to. So I did this twice -- once for Silver City, and another time for San Diego. Anyway right after mom dragged me off to continue shopping instead of making a sidestop into either of those places because adult logic.
Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
as for that photo, that was a pretty specific GIS search. I wanted a photo from the 70's that was close to what I saw as a kid in that dream, so if 2kki has that in there, mind blown

But I don't draw, I'm saying I should learn so I can start doing my comic again.
What you probably saw was me reblogging something Alyssa drew. She used to do the artwork for Tripadelic.

I'd say it's a fair trade.
and
that was a spelling error in Mr. Forsythe's otherwise admirable comic
