years ago there was this one crazy furry bitch named Purple Husky or something and her work was decent for an amateur but at the time she had quite an entourage of fangirls who went out of their way to terrorize other artists, including one kid who drew something a little too similar to her shit and they ripped into her for it
it got so bad that this bint and her groupies declared any purple huskies to be copyright her fur-ever and nobody can draw purple haired huskies ever again the end. Anyway, a few guys who actually knew how copyright law works traced all of her shit, recolored it, and set up a website showcasing this stuff with other folks in on the joke leaving WOW THIS THE BEST WORK EVER 5 STARS etc etc in the comments. It didn't take long for her rabid hyenas to discover this and bombard the site with every possible legal threat you could imagine which of course equated to laughs for everyone involved. This went on a for a few weeks until the point was driven home that there was jack shit they could do about it. I guess this worked because there's not so many people threatening to call the FBI because of traces and recolors anymore.
