Great, now I'm in "I'm making a mistake and I need to just fucking give up >:P" mode all because Ally says she doesn't follow her PMs in real time. THIS IS STUPID, but it also says "I stil have abandonment issues".
Fuck.
Why can't I like people I can actually, like, go visit? Why do they have to be on the other side of the country and too afraid of me to even tell me their full names, much less their phone number or address? Why must I think Washington, DC, sucks so bad? WHY WHY WHY WHY WHYW HWYHWHYW
I hate it here. There's no one I like around here, the AAGW people weird me out too much, and all the people I'd like ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE US. As much as I love my family, I feel like if I need to fully mature, I'm either going to have to move out West, or I'll have to move OUT OF THE GOFDDAMN MOTHERFUCKING FUCKASS SUBURBS and go to Arlington or DC. GOD DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN.
That's the thing, I do like people, but I'm also terrified of people not liking me due to some shenanigans that happened about 10 years ago (that, in retrospect, were entirely my fault; I was obsessing about someone and trying to make friends with her friends to get to her...:P). So even minor faux pas will send me into a panic attack ("she's going to dump me and I'll rage-quit all my accounts and run back to my old friends in A! fandom because I don't know what else to do and because I suck and don't deserve better PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME").
This hasn't been happening much recently, but it sucks ass when it does. :P
For what it's worth, I'm at work now and I've calmed down some, so I'll be fine. It's kind of a gloomy day today, and gloomy, cold days like this remind me of the road trips we'd take with Mom (usually to find a Walmart) back in 9th grade.

I have a desire to go to Powell, Ohio.
Odd, seeing as how there's not much there besides the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and a bunch of overpriced suburbs.

And now my mind is on to Thornton, Colorado!
I remember going there once in 2009, in search of what was at that time the nearest Krispy Kreme to the house (the one that used to be such, in Aurora, closed around 2006-2007 and was renovated into a Wendy's a couple of months ago.).

Krispy Kremes are surprisingly scarce, aren't they? The only one I even know of is in Dublin, all the way on the other side of town.
When my family was running errands over there a few years ago we stopped in for donuts. I think it must have been...2007? Or maybe 2008. And my mother talked about how we used to stop in there all the time when we lived in the area, something I barely remember.

I know how that feels.
It especially sucks when you can't focus on work or play.

You know the only reason I'd tried to do Droid Sans on my Tumblr is because even though it only has two weights which lack "real" italic counterparts, I feel it is legible and clean. A bit less generic "neutrality" than Helvetica Neue, though. And I'd probably want to swap out Georgia for Droid Serif so they match.
You know Georgia is probably one of my favorite system typefaces.

From what I understand, not commissioning italic versions of Droid Sans was a deliberate decision on the part of the Android developers, because disk space is at a premium on mobile phones (albeit less so now than when Android was first developed) and few people would notice anything "off" about fake-italics on such small screens anyway.
And yeah, Georgia is definitely one of the best system typefaces. It was designed in-house at Microsoft, so I imagine Matthew Carter was very familiar with Windows type rendering of the time and took care to make it look good on screen.

Applejack has an Apples to Apples-based fetch modus. This is hilarious.
Although I found the original thread and it's been going since July, it just wasn't on mspfanventures until Thanksgiving. (Hence Rarity's backstory; it was written before Sisterhooves Social aired.)

Yes.
I was at Applebee's and then King Soopers.
And there were some copies of Janet Evanovich's One For The Money which boasted that the novel was "NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE" (DAT GOTHAM AGAIN). Guess who adapted it as such!

I like the simplicity of the design and the use of "traditional" black-and-white, but the Times New Roman just doesn't do it for me:

I'm kinda worried now that when Ohio switches license place designs next December they'll go to an all-flat design instead of keeping the embossed plates.

Nothing's really wrong with them, I guess, but they tend to look "cheap" to me, and I prefer embossed plates.
Of course, Ohio has already been using flat plates for vanities and special issues for several years now. Here are the current design and the previous design.
(The typeface they use doesn't seem very legible either)

FLABBER.

I suppose it was just a matter of time.
I saw it just now on Equestria Daily.

Gahanna, on the other hand, goes straight into "trying too hard."
Also, my kismesis Lionsgate is remaking an 11-year-old movie!
And that's how I earned my cutie mark.
