I was thinking about something just now. I like having water and ice as separate elements in RPGs. Or at least if water and ice are grouped together under the same element, having the option to cast offensive "liquid water" spells separately from ice spells.
One thing that bugs me about D&D and Pathfinder is that all the offensive spells under the water element are ice spells. The spells that use liquid water are largely utilitarian or status-inducing in nature. I'm sure someone could come up with homebrew rules that give you the option to use liquid water as a subtype of Water elemental energy or something like that, but still.
This train of thought was totally not inspired by lurking in the new Pathfinder game thread on IJBM.

Well, I'll be spending the next four days on a school trip at nature conservation parks in southeast Georgia. That kind of impedes my ability to sign up for online RPG sessions. If they're willing to wait a few days, though, I'd consider it.
