I also like to avoid things that upset me.
It's not always easy, admittedly, because a couple of people I follow feel the need to constantly reblog racist/sexist/transphobic stuff soley so they can say "LOOK HOW GOOD A PERSON I AM FOR GETTING ANGRY AT THIS".
I actually unfollowed Anne Beeche a while back because I felt like she was constantly lecturing her followers despite me already agreeing with her... >_>

Which is a shame, because she can be insightful at times when she's not deliberately finding things to rage at.

See, Prejudice is Magic is the kind of blog I can sit and read for quite a long time, but I don't want it on my dashboard. The dashboard is for hanging out with my friends.
I admit, I'm the kind of person who tends to find morbid fascination in a lot of internet shit. I used to read Stormfront every once in a while because the warped logic they use to try to justify blatant racism was weirdly intriguing. But I stared too deeply into that and accidentally drove myself sane, so now it just pisses me off like it probably should have all along.
Then there's the CWCki. I figured out a while back why CWC fascinates me as much as he does. Basically: I'm also on the autism spectrum and I can put myself in a weird sort of mindset where I can understand why Chris does what he does--basically, forget everything I've taught myself about how to function in society and suddenly CWC makes sense. Not that I'm saying his autism is an excuse; the guy's also just a jackass.
Lately I've been poisoning my mind by peeking into Tumblr's otherkin community. Again, it seems to be that sort of thing where I can easily put myself in the mindset. At times I feel like if I didn't have friends keeping me grounded in reality, I would have drifted over into the whole otherkin nonsense myself...

Having looked at it again, TVT's avatar prank isn't all that annoying in and of itself. It might actually be kind of fun when you first notice it, since the avatars change frequently.
What is annoying is that Eddie put it in before, you know, Halloween actually happened. It's like laughing at your own joke; you're so confident that your prank is pure gold that you just have to show it off the moment it's done instead of waiting for the appropriate time.

Oh, I have a lot of reasons. The weather is the obvious one, but there are personal and family reasons as well.
I think mine is more because I went from being a damn near failure in school to getting nicely in the A-C range. Well, that, and my relative lack of Stuckiness by comparison to 2010 when I was probably at my peak.
And family reasons too, but not too much. If nothing else, I'm still adjusting to my sister leaving for college, though I think I might be used to it by now.

Currrently trying to decide whether I should stay up and try to call the store this morning, or just go to bed and call in the early afternoon.
I'm kinda leaning toward the latter. With the roads all snowy there's a decent chance the manager I need to talk to won't make it to the store by its normal opening time, and I know she's usually there in the afternoons. Plus I have to get up in the early afternoon anyway, so going to bed now would at least give me a little more sleep...
