Also, I love the Art Deco fonts on those old 1920s and 1930s street signs. I don't know if it's the 90s teenager in me or what (there was a time when these old fonts were considered Totally Radical), but I've always liked Bank Gothic and its relatives.
Before I go to bed: It's funny how much things can change in just a few months if you're patient and willing to put up with a lot of crap.
I was just reading a chatlog with one of my friends from Animaniacs fandom, on a night where I was freaking out about something I said to Ally (this was before we were really all that comfortable around each other). And I just wanted to facepalm until my face had a handprint in it, because the dynamics of things have changed so much just since October.
Back then, I was still very nervous, very desperate, and in some sense trying to get away from a house that was still torn up after nearly a month of work and a family that was starting to fight over every single thing because we couldn't cook or clean. Now, though? I'm not desperate anymore, I know Ally cares about me, and our kitchen and bathroom are finished so there's no stress related to that. And the new grandson is doing a smashing job of bringing the family back together, so far.
That said...I guess I'm still a bit lonely, but it varies from day to day. I have therapy on Tuesday so I'll bring it up there.

Still not in bed yet, going to go in a minute, I swear. :P I've been up reading the CWCki and hearing old songs from 1990 playing in my head because Charlottesville.
I wonder how Chris-chan would react if you told him that women do have pickles....just very small ones.
Crimson Fury's Speed and Handling are extremely high, noting it as one of the fastest cars in the entire game. It's Armor is extremely low along with it's health, making absorbing and sustaining damage very risky, having to rely on extremely fast speeds to avoid damage. Crimson Fury's Special Attack consists of an extremely fast and concentrated laser that immediately stops an enemy's movement and saps their speed to 0 upon hitting them. It does medium low damage, and is bright red.

I've slipped into being literally nocturnal lately, and I'm trying to force myself to readjust because I don't seem to get much done that way. I've had a little success the last couple of days, but making it stick is kind of tough.

I"m reading the first article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Anglish, and just for fun I'm comparing it to the same article in Dutch (English's closest popular relative) The similarities are quite interesting.
And hehehehe, there's an ad for the 1992 Chrysler Fifth Avenue on this tape. That was one of the first cars to use the A604/41TE transaxle, and it wasn't until sometime in the 2000s that they figured out why that transmission failed all the time (it turns out the solenoid pack is very sensitive to fluid condition and easily clogged).
That said, when the solenoid pack is clear and the fluid is fresh, it's as strong as any of Chrysler's other transmissions and will happily go over 100k. Which is better than Ford's AXOD-E, which was exactly the other way around; the controls were fine (if a bit behind the cutting edge), but the drivetrain itself was low-costed and tended to fail.

Oooh, and this commercial for Excedrin PM, of all things, became a meme to me. This woman is standing in front of her bathroom mirror and images of her hard day (bratty kids, bitchy coworker/FOAF (?), etc.) flash by, and one of them is this hick exterminator that says "TERMITES!"
So now, anytime I see or hear termites being discussed, I think of him. [lol]
Also...the last "bad memory" is her husband saying something stupid. Wonderful, don't bring your petty arguments into this. :P
There's an ad for Braves spring training, so February or March 1992.
I love this ad for the 1992 Acclaim going on about how it has an automatic transmission and *gasp* air conditioning. My car, which I got in late 2009, is a hybrid and came with automatic temperature control standard. How things change in 17 years!
I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
...god. Sometimes I'm of the opinion that Turner should never have sold out to Time Warner.
Of course I'm not sure what else would have happened had Turner stayed independent, and they'd probably have gotten gobbled up by/merged with somebody else anyway. (I have an alternate universe in which they merged with NBC in 1996, and NBC Turner merged with Vivendi Universal Entertainment in 2004 to take the NBC Universal name.)
I wouldn't know, myself. I do have to wonder if Ted himself was getting tired of running a media empire and wanted to do something different, but I don't remember the specifics of the deal, so...
Ahahahahah, the TNT version of Christmas in Connecticut, with Dyan Cannon, directed by ARNOLD FREAKING SCHWARZENEGGER of all people. My mom hates it.
And wow, there's a lot of 1970s-style straight-sell ads on this movie. I just saw one for Clorox 2 that could have been from 1972 if you just changed the hairstyles and fashions.
Yeah, TNT's current logo is kind of lame. As is TBS's, come to think of it. At least USA tried when they redesigned theirs.
Also, I just saw an ad for Johnson's Baby Shampoo on this tape, and the mom in it looks like she just stepped out of Relief Society or Young Women's. Seriously, she looks so...Mormon.

...how about CKE Restaurants? We can put Hardee's/Carl's Jr. locations in CA Marketplace stores, and use them to promote ABC Inc properties.
