I'm considering the 2004 split of Palm into palmOne and PalmSource. That was more of a dumb corporate decision than a dumb branding decision, but the fact that neither company initially kept the "Palm" branding strikes me as a bad move for a company whose relevance was just beginning to fade.

Caffeine's effects on me tend to vary based on how I'm already feeling, oddly enough.
If I'm drinking it because I'm anxious (as I am now), it has the sorta calming effect of letting me consciously set aside whatever I'm anxious about until it's time to deal with it and instead focus on something fun or relaxing for the time being.
If I'm drinking it because I'm tired and bored but it's not time for bed, it tends to end up leaving me sorta hyper and wired. (cf. last Saturday when I spent an hour spinning around my room in my underwear)
...I was making a point, I think, but whatever it was it's gone now.
